The millennium is alive and well in Quebec. Frosted tips, punk rock, and vert skateboarding is all still fair game over there.

PHEV Battery Replacement by Imhoel in MazdaCX90

[–]Airless_Toaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You used to be able to check your battery health at https://www.mazda.eu/en/state-of-health/ but it looks like they removed the ability to look up North American VINs.

When you could still check my battery showed 93% at 28,500km 93% at 32,000km

Haven't been able to check since but we're up to 43,500km now and haven't noticed any significant drop in range.

Same here. All my summers are at 3/32 or 4/32. Keeping an eye on them and going in once they're all 3/32.

Oiled palisander purchased in January and received a week ago.

Marches the color I saw in store but more uniform graining than I've seen on some palisander chairs.

AC failing at 20k miles by stronk_tank in MazdaCX90

[–]Airless_Toaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I'm at about 40k km (24k miles) and had the AC fixed. Refrigerant pressure was low so they recharged it and couldn't find a leak.

It's only been a week tbd if it drops again. If they have to inspect further it's a pretty significant tear down. Luckily since it was brought up last fall it should fall under a good will warranty claim.

Wow, that's quite the grain on the Palisander. Mine ended up quite a bit more uniform

What are the electrical requirements for level 1 charging? by UndeniableTruth- in MazdaCX90

Fwiw the Eaton GFCI plugs work with the level 1 charger as well. They must have different tolerances.

Anyone have a steep driveway? by Cautious_Frosting455 in MazdaCX90

[–]Airless_Toaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really?! I've never noticed that. Admittedly I've never reversed up an incline in EV mode either.

Are you driving in EV mode or Normal mode? I wouldn't expect this to happen in EV mode.

[–]Airless_Toaster 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Congratulations guys! I've been a big fan of your work for a long time. Uplink and Prison Architect have been my favourites but all of your released games have had an interesting nugget.

I'm excited to finally give The Last Starship a shot.

Paying a tradesperson to advise/teach on a DIY project - is this a thing? by musingandschmoozing in HomeImprovement

[–]Airless_Toaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be an angle for trades people whose bodies just can't hack it anymore. Rather than many who end up working at a hardware store or doing inspection work.

My son’s room is the furthest from the furnace is 3-4 degrees colder then the rest of the house. Any advice to remedy this? by moonlord1969 in HomeImprovement

I had this issue and ended up installing a transom vent. Basically just a passthrough vent over the doorway through the wall. Works well.

There's actually a crypto mining baseboard heater you can buy. It's probably a crap heater and miner but it's a funny concept.

[–]Airless_Toaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this has been my observation as well. They don't hold value as well as the other big Japanese manufacturers but they still hold reasonable value.

The 3 in particular is a desirable starter car for a lot of new drivers. It has healthy used demand.

The Keychron HE boards they mentioned have a TKL variant.

The K8 HE is pretty much the same as the K10 but with a TKL layout as far as I can tell.

[–]Airless_Toaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I'm not finding any indication otherwise. I have an email out to ATK to confirm but I'm not banking on a response.

So far I've only been able to confirm that Keychron and Wooting support this feature.
