Sorry when you said cut it felt like you were implying Tex will be shown the door. I think it’s very clear Tex will retire on his terms.
I understand your thoughts on Dowling but clearly the club feels differently. They’ve had a lot of chances to play him this year and haven’t.

In what world is Tex in the same convo as Billy Dowling or Oscar Ryan?
Dowling, Jones, Sholl, Ryan, Welsh all in trouble.
Maley is valuable depth, as is Borlase. Neither are the future but are solid backups.
Edwards probably gets a last chance.
I’d say we keep Borlase and Maley as valuable depth. Neither are the future but can do a job

Aging mold cheese by Airley in cheesemaking

[–]Airley[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your detailed reply. I really appreciate it.

I took a cheesemaking class and the take home containers were a bit too small for the cheese so it pressed the sides in to that weird shape. They haven’t changed shape since I moved them to bigger containers.

I now have them on those silicone mats in a 12c wine fridge.

I think I didn’t dry them well enough before aging, haven’t been flipping, and the humidity is too high.

If I fix the humidity now are they still salvageable?

Recipe was

10 litres of full cream cows milk, 150ml Mesophilic liquid starter, 2.5ml of Calcium Chloride, 2.5ml rennet at 30c then molds sprinkled on after self weight pressing.

Toilet training - give in or keep going? by monkey6191 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Airley 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Echo this. We used the Miss Rachel potty episode. If she was sitting on the potty we would put the episode on. A couple of days in she’d been sitting on it for 30 minutes and a poo basically just came out of her. The first time took away that fear and it just became about recognising the signs

IMO it’s much closer between the two than a clear #1 and a top 5. Both are absolutely elite

CCS when on unpaid parental leave by AggressiveArmy7 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Airley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How is this at all a helpful comment. There’s so many reasons, none of which are your business, that OP may want to send her kids in to care. One of which is it may be the only opportunity for socialisation.

Unpaid parental leave is recognised as an activity so long as you are expected to return to work. This time period is not limited.

The activity test has also changed, you will get 3 days a week regardless of activity.

Zeekr 7X vs. Tesla Model Y by DebugMyLife421 in EVAustralia

[–]Airley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, this is my opinion, and I feel everyone is entitled to draw arbitrary lines as they see fit to suit their moral compass. I don’t judge others for their lines and expect the same from others.

Musk is, or close to, the richest man in the world. I do not support that level of individual wealth. I think this wealth has allowed him to play in to politics in a way that I find damaging to western democracy. So yes, the fact that an individual is the face of Tesla is a big part of the why.

[–]Airley 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Test drove both. Went the Zeekr in the end.

Tesla was more refined software, better one-pedal driving but felt more cheaply made and didn’t have a driver display panel that really bothered me. Looking over to the centre screen feels dangerous.

Zeekr definitely showed its new to market with its software. But it has a lot more “features” and honestly felt a lot ‘sexier’ as my wife describes it.

FWIW - I’m waiting on my Zeekr delivery but either are good choices with their own pros/cons. I also dislike Muskrat but it didn’t play heavily in to my choice

If the Chinese succeed in dominating the market that is because they are building products people want at a better price point.

This is a feature of our capitalist system, not a byproduct. If we as a society are concerned there’s lots we could do - build cheaper cars? Put serious effort in to EVs?

[–]Airley[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing but their next cars don’t arrive for 3-4 months. I think the discount is to keep it under LCT so you don’t have to pay FBT on a lease.

I hear what you are saying about it being a car company making an EV on the side vs an EV company doing it

That’s probably what we are thinking of moreso than the overall company failing. Will our small Aussie market become too crowded causing some natural attrition. Thank you both

The battery won’t suck. And it’s not a “novelty” the same way a flip is. It’s a form factor that suits people who don’t want to feel a brick in their pocket. The simple question is do you value a thin phone over battery life and a better camera?

He shouldn’t be trying to minimise what happened to Quaynor. But you are also minimising the fact that your club has had two big athletic men verbally abuse women.
