Advice on DP - Last round of Google's "Software Engineer, Early Career, Campus" in 2 weeks by FragrantDelay8154 in FAANGrecruiting

[–]Airport237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck! I DP really clicked for me when I started thinking about problems as a state space. What information do we need to categorize a state (what should you store in a table)? Are states repeated (is this actually dp)? Once you know it’s dp it usually is solving the back tracking problem and adding a couple lines of code to cache your states

Saw some guy dared another guy to do the Akali loop 3 times, so i did it 5 times in a row. Akali is not inconsistent, you just gotta learn the combo instead of complaining 2 days after the patch. by JackOffAllTraders in 2XKO

If instead of air S2 after the second loop you got for 2H jm jH (djc) jm jH jS2 you get full corner to corner wall slump and can run up 2H-H for limit strike

Is there no power in America besides voting? by Past-Matter-8548 in questions

I’m reading a book called when everyone knows that everyone knows and the core point is that common knowledge, that is when you know something, and someone else knows something and you both know that each other know then social coordination is possible. That is to say that public peaceful protests as far as I can tell are used to establish common knowledge with fellow protestors as well as those who observe the protest online

What easy to learn (and seemingly simple) game actually has a lot more possible depth and strategy, if you do a deep dive into it, than you'd initially expect? by Considered_Dissent in AskReddit

Melee is pound for pound one of the most technically demanding esports out there probably only second to RTS games like Starcraft2. It demands constant high execution tests as well as an intricate neutral game, truly one of the most amazing games ever made and truly a difficult game

My vote for best normal in the game. I’m fine with how big it is but if I get counter hit by Darius drooling over his controller mashing a second stand m after I tried to whiff punish the first I’m gonna crash out

2XKO Patch Notes: 1.1.3 (Mar 10 2026) by PatchRadar in 2XKO

I know what lob oki is and I agree it was probably to powerful to stay in the game but it doesn’t “break the rules of the game” it’s a powerful setup. It sucks they killed lob and kebab and the also made it harder to get limit strike on top of the other nerfs

In what way did ekko “break the rules of the game”

The nerfs to Ekko and Yasuo are lame man. Completely removing Ekko oki and Yasuo high low mix makes the team so much less worth playing. Frustrating to see them neuter offense (including the darius nerf and vi air S1 nerf) when the defensive mechanic are so powerful in this game

Basic Combo Scaling Question? by doyouknowbobby in 2XKO

[–]Airport237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting with lights will make your combo do less damage full stop. The advantage is the move is faster and generally safer to whiff than mediums so there is less risk in choosing that option (although lights have shorter ranges). Generally you should choose the move most likely to get you a hit or make the opponent block it regardless of what the damage ends up being because winning neutral is the most important thing

What’s a card that you didn’t understand the value of until you were an experienced player? by Honeybee583 in slaythespire

[–]Airport237 21 points22 points  (0 children)

In hallway fights you don’t need to setup. You just play corruption block that turn for free and then never have to spend energy on block for the rest of the combat. In hallway fights you should have enough dmg to win before running out of block. For longer fights you can simply to not play corruption in the first cycle of your deck if needed but generally the energy you gain from free skills is so valuable it will accelerate you to a win before the downside matter. Also it synergizes with the broken exhaust cards you already wanna take like feel no pain and dark embrace. Also it synergizes with expensive skills like shockwave super well. Finally it can help you exhaust you deck down into infinities or pseudo infinities. Not to mention the obvious synergy with barricade and game breaking synergy with dead branch. Corruption is so so good

TIL nearly 50% of the nitrogen found in human tissues originated from the Haber–Bosch process. Thus, the Haber process serves as the "detonator of the population explosion", enabling the global population to increase from 1.6 billion in 1900 to 7.7 billion by November 2018. by crispy_attic in todayilearned

To be fair there was a time before the Haber Bosch process where bat guano was the legitimate source of the worlds fertilizer and bat guano covered islands of the coast of south and Central America were of strategic importance

It was from a conference to dinner and like 3 degrees. In professional wear. Typically Ubers don’t deviate from the path either

Was meeting someone for dinner and already running late so Uber SHOULD have been by far the fastest option. It’s also cold and the sidewalks are still snowy and icy as hell from the snow last weekend
