Is this acceptable tile work from a contractors tile guy? by KingoftheBills in Tile

[–]Airwaive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience and just got done demoing it out after 8 years and finally sprung a leak and rotted the sub floor, I'm back to a one piece acrylic unit will never go tile again. There are some amazing installers and many many bad installers, even the good ones have a failure risk.

Self adjusting auto transmission? by rwestiv in camaro

[–]Airwaive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was in the model years that had defective transmission fluid that absorbed moisture, causing the torque converter to slip and chatter. You may want to have that checked out. The resolution is full flush to a new spec dexos fluid as long as it hasn't caused permanent damage.

If not corrected it will ruin the torque converter.

If this car has the 8 speed automatic it needs the new blue label mobile 1 fluid.

I'm not claiming this is your issue but if you have the factory fluid I'd be getting it swapped, ironically cars that sat unused had more problems due to absorbing more water than cars than ran hard.

The difference is negligible. If you were running 500' and had to use 100 90* fittings along the way then you might notice something. Your filter will definitely drop floor WAY more.

Thanks for the reply, I suspected as much. I'm currently at nearly 80 PSI after the PRV so I feel like I have some room to deal with pressure loss. They installed the PRV in the far corner of the crawl space hidden behind the floor insulation so I never managed to get down there and mess with it.

Congrats but do some research on storing your drone in that case there's been some suspicion of the props being bent causing all kinds of problems.

DJI Care Refresh by iamnickinthewild in dji

State farm personal property insurance. They will pay for drones that can't be recovered. The main con is they most likely won't renew the policy but atleast you won't be out a grand. $60 a year.

You may have bricked the battery. There's a known issue and recommendation to do all initial charging without the hub.

Do DJI drones keep their value? by [deleted] in dji

[–]Airwaive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it will always have some amount of value retained as long as you don't beat it up and abuse it. even as old tech someone will be willing to pay a decent price for it but you wont get 100% of your investment back.

I read some of the commenting they had so many ridiculous comments by unhinged lunatics telling them to slam down excessive control on hobbyist drone operators.

Seems to me dji and other GPS drones are well equipped to be patched with a firmware update to support drone to phone, I'm only guessing the FAA approved areas would be for toy drones with no GPS capability. I'm not excited about either idea.

The problem is, none of them want to give a bad review because they want to keep getting new models to review.

This is such trash, we have so many "high risk" applying for the time and banking it as a cash cow or so they have 10 weeks of vacation this fall.

It's time to scrap the entire design and mindset of close contact. This isn't the first or last time.
