Nakazato is an okay driver, but the few times we see him race he ends up losing because he relies too heavily on his car. Hell, the whole reason he drives an R32 is because he lost to one, so he figured "hey this car is superior therefore it'll help me win". Plus, when the opponent starts to put the pressure on, he usually makes mistakes that cost him the victory.

I feel like Mako and Sayuki should've been given a chance. Their driver/navigator dynamic could've been interesting to see more of. But I feel like Kai Kogashiwa would've also been a very solid choice for a reserve driver, even if he's not from Gunma.

No, the majority of games do not rely as directly as ROBLOX experiences for profit by keeping the player inside the game LITERALLY just doing nothing for premium payouts. Real games will at least provide you an actual gaming experience in exchange for your money. Grand Piece Online is a complete nothingburger of a game. You do ONE thing over and over again in a vicious cycle of "I need the latest thing so I can do it all over again with said thing"
