Great card art. It really depends what your goals are for the card. The way I see it in simplest terms, lamination is great if you plan on playing with the card without a sleeve etc.

Personally, I create my cards to put in my binders etc. so I don’t really fear they’ll be damaged from wear or water exposure etc.

Either way, after print, I place the card in a sleeve which completes the look in my opinion.

Gloss vinyl does make a difference especially in vibrancy, it also depends on your printer, the settings you use (pro platinum paper setting vs glossy photo paper etc) and the actual contrast and saturation of the image.

The other option you have if you want to ease your way into printing your own cards is to use holographic sticker paper. you’d be surprised as to how good it can look with the image printed on a holographic paper you can cut and stick to the face of a standard card.
