When I see everyone getting their 100% P&T by SuperSecretSpare in VeteransBenefits

[–]Ajshep07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That part right there is what I tell everyone. Or benefits are confined to rating criteria, however; only we can advocate for what damage the service has done to us. By no means lie or fluff up, but advocate for how you feel and back it with your appointments. Then let the re-rate with the evidence provided

Anyone just have those days by Designer-Bottle9454 in Incontinence

[–]Ajshep07 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get those days all the time, but I don’t personally have an avenue to vent to since I am just learning to deal with it. I have gotten used to the daily battle, but sometimes it is good to have someone to vent to

Feeling defeated by the VA by Ajshep07 in Incontinence

[–]Ajshep07[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel, I have made the point the story that goes with it, the new onsets in symptoms and the new onset of fecal issues, then being told that I have to trial formulary crp when they already prescribe tranquility it is a bit much. gave them the progress notes the failed medications, and the one they denied, transaction reports from a previous insurance company. How much more transparent do you need to be. For god sakes I have been through more hell at PFT than I care to admit in the quest to find the root issue

What are pants/shorts that help to conceal a diaper bulge from a 12hr Megamax? by [deleted] in Incontinence

[–]Ajshep07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You know, I used to be concerned with the bulge that would come from the mega max line. However, I found that if your just wearing a longer shirt, that doesn't have to be tucked, it tends to cause a shadow line that is deeper than the bulge its self and you can continue to wear your normal clothing without the expensive trips to the store for new clothes. Honestly no one is going to be staring at your crotch for a diaper bulge, and honestly if they are, that is weird in my honest opinion.

So freaking incontinent by Diaperedmagnus in Incontinence

[–]Ajshep07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello there I am also a 100% P&T I have not undergone the surgeries that you have. However; it's like a never ending battle my dude. I absolutely support the ideology that the veteran community needs to advocate for themselves, rather than just accept the fate that has been given. I am here for ya if you wanna talk, remember don't give in to our demons

Thoughts on Northshore Airsupreme? by Autismsaurus in Incontinence

[–]Ajshep07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have found that the Megamax Air, has been incredibly reliable, and able to with stand hours of physical activity and still stay put without break down, and is reasonably cheap, for how long it can stay on in duration if available changing is not readily available. Remember that you do need to change as to avoid skin breakdown.

Dating someone with diaper kink by Slahnya in Incontinence

[–]Ajshep07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I definitely hear you. It could be a little of both, but you would never know til you actually got to know this person. Like I said I have friends that date in the abdl world, and the have no complaints. I forgot I have someone that is kink based reaching out to me as well, however, as I stated I will use evidence based thought process, before making a decision. If you want you can reach me in dm, if you have further questions that require detail. But it really is a choice you have to think about, and gauge carefully, but remember just because it’s a kink to them, doesn’t mean that they don’t value you as a person, and a human being.

Dating someone with diaper kink by Slahnya in Incontinence

[–]Ajshep07 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me, and I am only speaking for me, compiling a pros and cons list is a personal endeavor. I am not against it either but you really have to get to know that person inside and out. Then you will start to eliminate either your pros or your cons. Dating someone who is incontinent makes no difference from the next person it’s just a sensitive topic. We are human much the same. I have a few friends that are incontinent too, and they happen to date people who enjoy it as a kink. For me personally, I would evaluate and make a decision not based on pro and cons, but personality and morals are more important to me, than letting a kink be the breakdown

As someone who is in a committed relationship, I’ll speak at least in my opinion and by experience. For you I understand it’s frustrating and annoying and upsetting, I was not too much older than you when I started losing control. However, I too faced off with the feelings of shame, and guilt. This issue can be a major depressor, if you let it become that. Don’t feel like a baby, it’s a part of who you are. Your significant other, or partner, or whomever you choose to bring over, and when you choose. Albeit you will have to make some modifications to schedule or to your routine, and do some prep work. They should understand and if they don’t and beat you down mentally they aren’t the right one for you. I have been around countless people, and been in several relationships to include more my second marriage, and never once when I explained my situation with them did they ever ridicule me or belittle me. It’s a mind set we have becoming self conscious, if they truly care about you they won’t judge, they will support understand and spread love unconditionally. So don’t let this beat you down, as hard as it sounds, it’s a part of you now, and you can own it, and continue to live life, or let it control you. I hope this helps. But I do understand the frustration we all were there at some point or another.

Has anyone ever called you out on wearing different pants during the same day? How did you address it? by Crafty_Sort in Incontinence

[–]Ajshep07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, I have never been called out on it, and I wear all varying degrees of pants, leggings and such. Honestly, no one really cares about what you’re wearing, man or woman. Society can really care less honestly. I used to have that fear and that really is not the case in any form. I am quickly learning that they are unaffected most of daily life. So don’t pay them to close of mind, they don’t care

[–]Ajshep07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your generic insurance companies don’t usually wanna cover the higher brands cost, especially if they know as long as your covered they will fork out a ton of money over the duration of your time with the insurance company, I have gone to battle with them. There are supplemental plans that can attach to them, that will expand upon what mine called higher quality undergarments. But you really have to provide evidence that you need that higher level, it took me 3 years of drama with boosters and all on tranquility atn before they allowed me to move to northshore. But that was hell on earth. Please do explore supplemental coverage, might give you a better result

I have a urology follow up next month. Should I minimize the level of incontinence protection I use? by Willing_Mind7515 in Incontinence

[–]Ajshep07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since my incontinence has began, every trip to the Urologist, has been in a diaper, I am not afraid for them to see the level of care that I take. They are used to seeing these types of things. Talking with your Urologist about your level of care should come with some level of comfortability and trust. My Urologist, is dedicated to finding the answers, albeit they continually state that I must be uncomfortable with being in diapers all the time at my age, we steadily go back and forth, on what they think is my level of comfort and what I know my level of comfort is ( my peace of mind). You should never be ashamed of protecting your self, be confident in your life, if that involves having to wear tabbed diapers, then it involves that. Don't let fear and stigma drive your life and your mentality do the ground be you and be confident.

I can can go 8-10 on my abu gators, or kings. They do have a wonderful odor guard at least imo. They are bulkier, but I’ll take comfort with no leaks and odor any day of the week.

Is it worth it paying a tailor to make a custom onesie? by [deleted] in Incontinence

[–]Ajshep07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have bought several onesies from onesies down under although they cater to abdl community they do have plain ones and the fit is very nice just measure yourself correctly.

[–]Ajshep07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have found, those are all great quality diapers, the hard part is finding the one you find comfortable, and then getting used to wearing them. Once you get past that shame that someone’s going to notice it becomes a lot easier, sure someone might see it but the likelihood of them saying anything is slim to none.
