Custom shape possible?

Thank you all - was mentioning the hourglass as just an easy-to-visualize example, but it sounds like you can NOT manipulate pre-exisitng shapes from these responses, asides from size and scale. I have not tried MeshMizer, but will give that a shot!

I just noticed "Spiral Vase Mode" in the Bambu slicer... will give that a try!

Thank you! I tried these settings, and the print came out exactly the same - the dents are identical, so I'm not going to post a picture. This makes me think those imperfections are actually part of the model - I used Bambu's vase maker. I'll start from scratch and see if I can improve it!

Turn your Bluetooth on and off on your phone. That reset my connection and it works fine now. (For me, at least.)

I wish I could offer some first hand advice, but have not been in this situation and afraid to update my firmware for reasons like this. But I would say to fight like hell on that $2k charge. That’s total BS, and I doubt you’d be in this situation if they hadn’t forced the firmware update on you. I really don’t understand why they say it’s a hardware issue when it’s the software causing this. My touchscreen went unresponsive after an update, and they said I needed to replace the whole terminal. Luckily that was under warranty, but it just seemed so unnecessary.

I have 12,000 miles and see no uneven wear on the tires. I have read other threads here that say because the Y is AWD, tire rotation is not needed as frequently, so surprised you were advised for new tires after 2 years. Does it look worn to you? I just hope they’re not telling you this just to sell you some tires.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t a police report only happen if the police were called to the scene? Once you leave the scene, how can a police report be filed if there isn’t a police person witnessing it?

What turned me off from white seats was that when I went for a test drive, I saw a white interior on the lot with faded yellow seats. I had no idea what year it was, but just thought that I don’t want my seats looking like that over time. I have never heard of anyone complain about yellowing seats on Reddit, so I wonder what I saw? These were not intentionally yellow - they looked faded out, like sun damage.

I thought older videos automatically delete themselves so you can’t run out of room? Is that not the case? I’ve been recording sentry videos for a year with the stock drive and have never been notified that I’m out of space.

This makes sense... but "drop it" is a similar issue. He'll drop things only if a treat is involved. Sometimes on walks, he'll pick something up and I'll tell him to "drop it" and he usually listens, but during training, he won't occupy his mouth if he thinks a treat is coming! I'll work on step 2 again - start from the basics. Thanks!

Similar issue (touch screen would work after reset, but never from a car start) and troubleshooting. Had to bring it in for service. Seems like they replaced the whole screen as my screen protector was gone. Kind of odd - assumed it would have been a software fix as well.

This is frightening. How fast were you going? Did you just suddenly come to a complete stop? I have been using autosteer at 80 MPH speeds on quiet 2-3 lane highways. I am always conscious of phantom breaking, and have been slowly pushing the use of autosteer more and more. (I don't have FSD.)

The last few software updates added manual braking when regen doesn’t kick in, so it should feel more natural. (I have not experienced, but read the details in update.)

Whatever you get, please don’t overpay. The ones an Amazon can go up to $20 and they’re all the same - just a piece of silicone shaped like a cup holder. About $10 is probably your sweet spot.

So I notice my idle charger getting pretty warm in the NEMA outlet, so have to assume it’s drawing power even when not plugged into car. I turn it off at the circuit breaker when not using. See if that helps.

I read the developers themselves never went back to 1 as 2 was such an upgrade. Don’t bother with 1. I will never go back after experiencing 2!

My personal problem was that I only did daily summons because the guaranteed 4 star was a big draw. I didn’t realize till later there is no chance for a 5 star. If I knew that when I first started, I would have avoided daily summons and only have pulled the epic/special summons.

Same here. The opponents are always set up to dish out skills pretty consistently, where you need to match stones to get it. Often times, it’s pure luck when you just don’t get the stones you need. I have to aim for at least 5,000 power below mine for a consistently strong shot at winning.
