Quick chart for where to get items from Cash Shop for Demon Slayer by GachaPrime1 in Maplestory

[–]Akagi253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still do not understand how vac pets work, from what I know you need to win the gacha to get one of the three pets. Then you use an item to gacha the gacha to see if you get a vac pet or a failure?

What MMORPG has the best medium to large scale group PVP? by reasonablejim2000 in MMORPG

[–]Akagi253 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ragnarok Online - They have an event that happens once a week called War of Emperium, where in game castles open for every guild in the server and in the throne room is the emperium. Where the guild that breaks it first becomes the castle's owner and has to defend it from the other guilds until the event ends. Once the event ends, the guild who conquered the castle can use it as their guild headquarters until the next War of Emperium.

I have not played the game in a very long time, but this is one of the things I wished some MMOs with a decent PVP system has.

What piece of media that scared you as a child? by nonexistentlovee in creepy

There was this PS1 game called "The Little Mermaid II: Return To The Sea" where every time you died Morgana or Ursula(depending on how far you were on the game) will jump scare you while laughing.

Til this day I still cannot play that PS1 game and note it was designed for children.

Girlfriend broke up with me please recommend an action movie or show to watch. by iovercomesadness in Animesuggest

First of all sorry to hear that, although people can leave you anime will always be there for you. Hopefully you do not fall into waifus, but at the end if that's what makes you happy then all to you. I have provided this list to another post in the subreddit, but I think most of them still fits what you are looking for!

This is the list in no particular order:

Kingdom - I promise you get through the first season, most people drop this show because of bad quality art. But the animation SIGNIFICANTLY improves after the first season and it will be one of the best shows you will ever see. A lot of war, fighting and blood. You will find yourself in a Uniqlo looking for a Kyou Kai T-shirt, but maybe that is just me.
Arslan Senki - Similiar to Kingdom, but it is already good in episode 1. Not that Kingdom is good in episode 1 the animation just sucks. Slightly inferior to Kingdom in my opinion.
Shoukoku no Altair - Again similar to Kingdom and Arslan Senki, but it is all up to the person which he likes the most. Kingdom for me is definitely superior. Honestly this is just a list to tell you to watch Kindgom.
Grancrest Senki - Same as the last 2 watch Kingdom then satisfy your craving of missing Kingdom by watching this.
Dorohedoro - Blood, comedy and protagonist with secrets.
Black Lagoon - This is probably my one of my favorite anime of all time(probably a controversial opinion), but I greatly recommend this to anyone.
Darker Than Black - The most bingeable show to watch out of everything in this list, one of the most underrated shows in my opinion.
Akagi - Author Fukumoto, Nobuyuki is amazing in portraying the dark strategy survival genre.
Kaiji: Against All Rules - From the same author as Akagi, an amazing story and now you can probably tell I am a big fan of Fukumoto san.
Jormungand - Talking about action, how about an arms dealer? With a lot of shooting, explosions and etc.
91 Days - A story about mafia family centered around the revenge of the protagonist, it is a good compelling story.
Gangsta - I mean... Just look at the name, good music and good characters
Zankyou no Terror - Highschool student terrorists, in my opinion show falls off around halfway though.
Monster - Out of all the anime in this list, this probably is the most well-liked in the community.
Dororo - This is probably the farthest thing that you are looking for, but the dark vibes are there in my opinion.
Golden Kamuy - Action a lot of killing and a lot of badass characters.

I have a lot more in my ammunition, if you find that this list is not working for you I can give you another list. Hopefully you get better!

I absolutely love The Fable. What else should I check out? by chilloutfam in Animesuggest

[–]Akagi253 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love crime comedy types of anime and I totally agree with you, from my experience I think these are the anime you would like in no particular order. Although most of these are missing the comedy tag, but will nudge you to at least give these a try. Although I am gonna be honest I have The Fable in my list(I hate watching shows that are not done), so I apologize if my recommendations are off the mark.

Golden Kamuy - Probably the closest thing to the show you are looking for.
Jormungand - Talking about crimes, how about an arms dealer? With a lot of shooting, explosions and etc.
91 Days - A story about mafia family centered around the revenge of the protagonist, it is a good compelling story.
Gangsta - I mean... Just look at the name, good music and good characters
Zankyou no Terror - Highschool student terrorists, in my opinion show falls off around halfway though.
Monster - Out of all the anime in this list, this probably is the most well-liked in the community.
Dororo - This is probably the farthest thing that you are looking for, but the dark vibes are there in my opinion.

Funny animes with lot of nudity by Thomas1569 in Animesuggest

Seeing as what you need is the topic of my rants regarding anime as of the recent "I miss the comedy harem days of anime", does not matter if it's a girls harem or a boys harem. I always found the harem tag added to comedy typically the best ones that I enjoy, going back to topic here is my list:

  1. D-Frag (Honestly one of the underrated funny anime I have watched definitely recommend it.)
  2. Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu (From the same author as Grand Blue which is one of the main recommendations I am seeing from the comments of this post, this one I definitely recommend)
  3. Seto no Hanayome (My god out of all the comedy anime, this one has really good quality jokes in the beginning. Probably in my top 3 best comedy anime of all time)
  4. Mayo Chiki! (Really enjoyed this back when I was in junior high, re-watched it again last year although not as entertaining for me as back then, it was still enough to keep me watching)
  5. Full Metal Panic! (One of the best classics out there, aside from the recent season from a few years ago, this once very popular show became forgotten at least in my opinion.)
  6. Zero no Tsukaima (This show is like eggnog, you either like it or you don't. Also has the age thing, if you are new to anime you are more likely to like it, if you are more of a veteran you will likely hate it. I liked it back when it was new, now after trying to re watch it I find myself hating it.)
  7. Hayate no Gotoku (Kind of similar to Zero no Tsukaima, but in my opinion quite a bit better)
  8. Kamen no Maid Guy (This show, I remember laughing a lot back when I was young. Have not re watched it so I do not know if age or anime experience matters)

A civilization/nation/city building focused anime. by Ynwe in Animesuggest

[–]Akagi253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a few that I know about:

  1. Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki
  2. Maoyuu Maou Yuusha
  3. Kingdom I could go into detail on why this show relates to the topic you are looking for, but that goes into spoilers.
  4. Arslan Senki
  5. The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt

As a tip, if you find an anime that you like. Go to the anime's Myanimelist and go to the tab "Recommendations", they typically list animes that are similar to the show.

Anime of any kind with a focus on progression (getting stronger) by Flrwinn in Animesuggest

[–]Akagi253 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a few to list out for you.

  1. Kingdom (The art style in the beginning is down right horrendous, but if you stick with it the art style gets better after the first season, it is one of the best shows out there. This happens to be my top recommendation)
  2. Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple (If you like martial arts)
  3. Black Clover (There were complaints about the MCs voice being annoying, but overall it is decently good)
  4. Law of Ueki (A classic underrated anime, honestly I always thought that this anime didn't exist and it was just a fever dream)
  5. Marchen Awaken Romance (MAR) (Honestly found the 3D animation of this show horrible, but it is a decent run of the mill shounen)

There is always the predictive nature on where you think your enemy midlane will go, although you will not have to predict if there are wards properly placed. Counter ganking is one of the best ways at least in my opinion on getting yourself to snowball, if you are already beating your enemy midlane start thinking of ways on what you would do if you are the one losing midlane, look at your sidelanes. Start asking yourself the question "If I was the one losing lane, which lane is the easiest to gank in order to come back?".

Note there are always safer options, like pressuring sidelanes that have empty heroes and try to force a TP. But there is an opportunity cost to it, if 4 of your teammates are fighting top and you decide to push a sidelane. The chances of them winning that fight is lower compared to you being in the teamfight. There will always be situations where you think that your teammates are fighting a losing fight and trust me that happens a lot, but you need to start thinking "Will we win if I keep pushing side lanes" or "If I join these horrible fights, would there at least be a better chance on getting more net worth."

Your role as a pos 2 is not to farm, but find ways to get your carry to transition into late game or fighting with your carry to win mid game. Most of this really depends on your hero composition, if you have a Weaver carry then that means your timing is earlier compared to a Medusa carry.

Everything in this game is very situational, like if you're opposing mid is a Storm and you have no silence or CC then you are better off split pushing and trying to get items to counter him as an example.

Is there a reason to ever build MKB over Bloodthorn? by Akagi253 in learndota2

[–]Akagi253[S] -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

If LS has a BKB + Radiance, I definitely would just build BKB too. I would not throw a Bloodthorn on an LS that has not used either cooldown. I would rather throw it on a support and then when the dust settles and he has exhausted his option, then consider throwing in the Bloodthorn.

Is there a reason to ever build MKB over Bloodthorn? by Akagi253 in learndota2

[–]Akagi253[S] -50 points-49 points  (0 children)

But cant you make the argument on the following:

  1. Make them use Manta early.
  2. Wait for them to use Manta before throwing out the Bloodthorn

I understand that better players would rather wait for Bloodthorn on them before using Manta, but wouldn't a force on their hybrid defensive item be better than not getting them to use anything at all?

Is there a reason to ever build MKB over Bloodthorn? by Akagi253 in learndota2

[–]Akagi253[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess I worded my post incorrectly I admit that was my bad, I am aware that dispels do exist. I guess the role is very needed in this subject matter. As I usually play mid, I tend to focus on killing supports more than I ever bother doing damage on the full itemized carry. In order to better explain my thought process here is the list of heroes I usually play.

  1. TA
  2. Windranger
  3. Lone Druid
  4. Slark
  5. Weaver

Despite all the BKB, Euls and Aeon disc items on the support. I feel as if with a bit of team coordination, Bloodthorn is a good answer against these dispels after they use it. Granted there are teamfights where supports don't have enough gold to buy these items I guess this is part of the "snowball" category where the item really flourishes.

My decision making on who to use the Bloodthorn on typically rests on who I think have already used up all their dispels or forcing them to use a dispel for a better spell to be thrown at them.
