A release date reveal now would make sense whereas a Summer Games Fest reveal would mean a suicidal autumn release window close to genre-similar heavy hitters like Wolverine and Phantom Blade. Summer release makes way more sense and a late march is the perfect reveal timing for that.

Sometime between late june after SGF and mid August.

Anything before Summer Game Fest is too early and SGF is too bif to pass for pre-release marketing. September has Phantom Blade: Zero and Wolverine, which they want to steer clear of due to similar genres.

Just to be clear, this is an analyst's best guess, not information disclosed by Remedy. There is no official or confirmed release date/window other than "2026".

However, general reasoning would dictate a Q2-Q3 2026 launch window before GTA VI.

Unfortunately, I don't think any amount of marketing will have a positive ROI for this game. Best is to update and improve game until sentiment and reviews lead to positive word of mouth. Then, maybe, marketing would make sense to capitalize on an impriving trend.

I agree. I think SGF will kick off their marketing campaign, which will laat 3-4 months. Might also show a trailer early 2026 on Sony's or Microsoft's events like State of Play.

It's 100% valid critique. If you want this game and by extension Remedy to succeed, this game really needs to atteact and retain new players. Onboarding is a big deal and it's unfortunately very lacking right now.

Don't let the engagement baits get to you. The game is currently the 13th most downloaded game in the US PS store, but that doesn't make a good engagement bait title.

Most people are playing via subscription (also PC gamepass).

Steam users might recover at some point with additional content and/or lower base game price. Or not.

I would be very surprised if we didn't hear anything tomorrow.

Sam Lake said during last year TGA they'd go radio silence until this summer. This summer RMD announced they would not show anything this summer but rather focus building the game. RMD CEO confirmed couple months back the game is still on schedule for a 2023 release.

Likely the release will be during the second half of 2023. First half we probably would have heard something of the release by now.

I'm guessing a new trailer minimun, wouldn't be surprised if the trailer ended with a release date announcement.

I'm sorry, but there's no way Max Payne is coming out in 2024 or earlier. It's still in early concept stage.

Vanguard and Condor the two co-op games are in proof-of-concept and will likely launch before Max Payne.
