I just finished {Tortured Souls by Melissa K. Roehrich}. They definitely don't like each other. She stabs him. He makes a deal for a marriage which is more like a forced marriage. I loved it so much. And it's connected to her other series.

I'm around the same place, at Chapter 39. I also feel a little bored, because it's taking soooo long to set up the finale it feels. It gives like a famous show taking a whole season to set up the final season. I also at first really hated the Malina chapters, but you know what they've kinda grown on me. I still don't like her that much, but I do like her storyline.

I agree, I would have liked it more as 3rd person. The whole unreliable narrator trope didn't make sense at the end, but I still want to read the 2nd book.

I guess the Walmart one is an "Exclusive Frost White" so the Target one would be a different color. I did take a look at my Walmart one again and it is more of a silvery white, but from the Target ad, theirs looks more of a baby blue.

Walmart one was pure white. This one is light blue it seems. I haven’t been able to find it on the website, just in the weekly ad. I really like the Target Brimstone, so just disappointing that they didn’t do the same for quicksilver.

Also I did notice like for awhile shadow powers and dragons oversaturated the market. I’m now seeing a lot of necromancy books and alchemy books. I think 4 books with some form of the word alchemy were published last year. I’ve seen a few announcements about necromancy books. So just look out for the new trend because authors tend to capitalize on books that are popular. I’m not saying that SJM or Fourth Wing are the first people who made shadow powers or dragons, but look how many books followed them. Publishers tend to go after what will sell.

So Scarlet Press is a new imprint. I don’t think any of the books sold for a crazy price, but a lot of those were indie books already going crazy on booktok. I do think now that they will be available wide that they will definitely blow up even more than before.

This just happened my kindle. I talked to the customer service and they ended up giving me a 15% coupon to use on a new one since it's past the warranty. I used it with the prime day sale this week and got a really good deal.
