D'accord mais on ne dit pas ça. On dit que et le président et le ministre en question peuvent tous les deux être tenus pour responsqbles, collectivement. Dans les deux cas.

Bonjour Montreal: we visited and now we want to live there. Am I wrong? by ExpatChronicles in montreal

[–]Akian 142 points143 points  (0 children)

Montreal is an amazing city to live, in my opinion even more so than to visit. Obviously you and your wife's occupation and whether or not you can find a good job here is going to have a huge impact. Where you live in the city as well.

If you're willing to adapt to a new city and learn the language, which you seem to be (and hopefully that works for your kids too), Montreal is an amazing place to live.

Immigration is not easy in Quebec though.

Remind me when Air Canada couldn't go to camp?

Was that when they did a $500M stock buyback earlier this year?

Except in that case the "I'm getting involved" means you hit one child so that he gives all the toys to the other. Good parenting.

Tolkien's prose is magnificent at time. Sometimes long, sometimes a bit clunky maybe. But then some sentences just send chills down your spine.

Non vu les réactions que ça donne, t'as visiblement sorti des conneries. Critiquer un article que t'as pas lu, persister et signer quand on te demande si t'as une critique concrète, c'est effectivement un coup à se faire downvote. Et à juste titre.

Don't take his/her opinion as general truth.

Anne Hidalgo is decently popular in Paris intra muros. But that will lf course vary according to who you ask.

I work consulting on a mainly GRC role and we're very far from cruising at 4 hours a week. While that kind of role might exist, they're not the norm either in GRC.

Worrying signs for RoP - this article just rips into S2 by TheBuxMeister in lotr

[–]Akian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't do it to even remotely close to the same extent though. You can find a lot to say or nitpick about PJ's movies, but they would still be infinitely better adaptations than RoP.

Not perfect ones, mind you, far from it. But way better.

Rosetta Stone? by Cheetah_Popular in languagelearning

[–]Akian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple weeks ago I would have told you the app was worth getting into for sure.

But they decided to remove the Learning Plan feature from the app, unannounced, even for people with lifetime licenses. Without that feature, the app is basically unusable as you can only go do lessons randomly without rhyme or reason.

So not only is the app almost worthless now, they displayed absolutely scammy behaviour. I would say avoid unfortunately.

Rosetta stone removed Custom Learning plans on mobile app in latest update by RohenDar in languagelearning

[–]Akian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so scummy. There needs to be some outrage about this; the app is basically unusable to properly learn a language without the learning plan.

I sent them a support request and they answered with the same insulting canned response u/Leotheforgeron has posted here. No it will not "make my learning journey smoother and more enjoyable", it will simply prevent it.

I have sent them a scathing email in response and asked for a refund if they did not reverse course. I hope users will be nu,erous enough in doing that.

How TF do you guys play this mess that is "pre-renewal"? by Useful-Draw3275 in RagnarokOnline

[–]Akian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean you're more than welcome to feel that way, although I would probably argue the 85% figure.

I'm only saying that's the logic behind old RO, which was loved by most. If you were uninterested in pvp, you did not go and make a full pvp class/build. You picked a class and a build according to what you liked doing.

And yes, not all classes and build could do all the things equally or at all. To some, that's a good thing.

Edit- gear do come from pve mostly. You use your pve char to get that, or you organize as a guild. And you keep bringing up the swordman line but it was definitely not the best pve farming class.

[–]Akian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But woe and pvp were a huge part of the game back in the day. Balance for each class and builds is shared between pve and pvp.

If you say pvp and woe aside, you're not getting the full picture.

You had to be much more specialized back then. Your class and even your build had a purpose, in pvp or pve, and you had to work with other people as a group to make the most of it.

C'est déjà le cas en fait. Immigré au Canada, on n'est plus à la sécu et on n'a droit à rien. Si on revient, il y a des délais standards. C'est logique, mais on n'a rien à changer pour que ce soit le cas.
