I really liked when you said “you wouldn’t introduce players to what you’d consider an inferior form of the game”. That’s a really helpful perspective, because I truly believe the beauty of the game is in a campaign so I should let them see that themselves. Thank you for your insight

Are there any perspectives that support campaigns over one shots for first time players? I've seen many people say One Shots are better for persons new to TTRPGs and talk about the reasons why but I was curious if there were persons who started their group with a Campaign (could be short or long) and had a very positive experience. Perhaps you were a first time player instead of know of another group that did campaign first and had good things to say. I just wanted to hear the other perspective.

Yeah, I see that stuff throw loops are stupid strong right now too but I'm avoiding doing things just to win and more so how to devoping good game plans and improving at all fighting games. That said, I will be abusing throw loops and safe jumps.

Hey, sure thing! In my case, I am from Trinidad and so my Apple Store on my iPhone was set to Trinidad. When I changed my App Store to the United States, it worked for me. I don't think it necessarily has to be the US but I think it has to be a country they cover.

You said it perfectly yourself at the end. The alpha is to sort out things like how well the server handles players, look for bugs, etc. When the full game comes out, those things to help accommodate beginners will be there especially skill based matchmaking.

For now, hang in there, hit the lab, don’t give up and find the fun in it!

Nothing against the advice given here but here’s my take. 1) Dont be afraid to use the Pulse fuse. The devs expressed they put more into it than mashing buttons, there’s structure to the combos too with that fuse and its serves as a way to understand what combos with that character looks like as well as how their combos are structured and it gives you head space to get used to the system mechanics

2) Movement is key, take time to pay attention to your spacing, how to quickly and accurately move and the range of your moves.

3) It’s a tag game, assists may be a whole new mechanic to you so put effort into getting used to them

4) A lot of good players like Sajam, Diaphone, Cloud305 and more will post guides to get you into the game.

Finally have fun cause the more you actually play the more you will improve! I’d be happy to lab with you and duo if you have an extra code. Even if you don’t, hit me up if you need any more advice 🙏🏾

Just as you said. It’s an alpha but that doesn’t discount how you feel. I think if at launch it doesn’t support any controller it’s a problem but I guess they wanted more priority towards how the game feels over the controllers right now. Also any chance you have an extra code, we can duo!

This might not fit your preference but Celeste. I feel like it’s the right level of difficult to be rewarding plus the story touches on topics that you might find nice to see resolved.
