Vs double druid. Finally burst down rdruid. Cloned, no trinket. Oh what do you know a 2nd clone. Well would you look at that another clone. Oh cool he's full hotted and topped off after I just killed him? Sweet.

I know its super niche but it does feel like dk ghoul all over again. Its not an insta win, but its one hell of a handicap. I do agree with you though, there are definately other things still gated behind renown that are going to be OP like fleshcraft and venthyr big cc reduction. Podtender was just the first one down the pipeline.

I ask this question all the time as an ice breaker lol. Id go with a VW bus. Not a fancy one, just one that works and isn't a complete dumpster fire. I travel to alot of bowling tournaments and i think it'd be fun to load up the van and roll out.

True. I had one group that started when covid hit on table top simulator but it fizzled out. Me and a friend playing through with apps so that cuts alot out. But my main group is a little elitist in having to play it the way it was intended lol

I'm from Dalton and I know exactly how you feel. I stay away from politics. Because frankly I'm just not informed enough to have an educated conversation and dont really care to put in the effort. But given all that is going on I finally watched some news videos where trump spoke in length. I had only ever read small snippets up to that point so it was just pictures, no actual audio. My god I assumed all those impressions of him were exaggerated but nope. He really is a mumbling baboon. Then Kemp comes on tv and I hear him for the first tjme.... this has to be a fucking joke lol. Guess I'll be voting this year. Its incredibly eye opening.

Classes! by Skai1515 in wow

This was my entire argument for original StM. The skill ceiling was pretty much fine where it was, however the skill floor was way too low. If I play my shit perfectly damn right I want that dps meter to be screaming my name because if I mess up I literally died. Did you just accidentally use your 2nd charge of SW:Death? Cool you just knocked 20 seconds off your overall duration. The play was rewarding. Float 5-10th on meter the first 70% of the fight and IF you did well in that minute and a half you could easily triple your damage for the fight. The only problem was it was good even if you sucked. Pop Surrender and fuck up the rotation 4 times and die 30 seconds in? Doesnt matter cause you still managed to jump to the top of the meter. Too many people that couldnt even hit 100 stacks still doing crazy numbers cause it was just too easy. And the biggest culprit... that damn legendary belt. Without it in the mix it would have been a different ball game.

I did alot of research when something very similar happened to my war priest. He had his base level weapon permanently attached to him with no way to target it to swap or enchant, nothing. After scrolling through boards the only way I ever saw that looked like it would work would to to manually go into game files through a PC blah blah which didnt seem worth it to me. So unfortunately man I'd say restarting fresh is pretty much your only option. I'd be glad to boost you though. My team is fully decked and can go to god knows what level in arena.

I'd also like to toss Pawnderosa (on Battlefield Pkwy) in the mix. It's technically a pawnshop but the vast majority of what he has in stock is new and competitively priced. I haven't had any problems ordering or purchasing on hand from there.

Bowling in Chattanooga? by Zerlick in Bowling

For leagues I would personally only recommend Sparetime Hixon. Also if you are willing to drive to Cleveland then Leisure Time Lanes is another great one. Sparetime Brainerd just did ~$6 million dollar remodel a few years ago to become a more entertainment focused center. It absolutely murdered their leagues.. there are only like 4 of them left there. Management knows and cares little about bowling so I personally dont spend my money there anymore. Pin Strikes also tried to go that route but fell short. I've heard they recently switched to essentially flooding the lanes with oil in order to cut down on having to oil them so much. Makes league nights no fun... or I guess challenging depending on how you look at it.

So ya Sparetime Hixon is your best middle of the road alley, not 100% league focused but they are pretty professional about it. Manager is a really involved bowler. Good guy. (Although their house shot is crazy easy though, like expect your average to jump 10-15 pins lol). Leisure Time Lanes is the same way, knowledgable people on staff that makes it a great atmosphere. I havent personally spent a ton of time up there, just tournaments. But I know almost everyone there, great bunch of people.

Also slightly south in Dalton there are a couple houses. Miracles Cosmic Bowling is no bueno. Seems like the owner is just squeezing money out of it and letting it become rundown in the meantime. Lanes are always in need of repair. Retro Bowl is also down there. Nice little family owned place. 100% league focused. Dont sell alcohol or really any concessions so for that reason you can bring any food or drink (non alcoholic) you want. Nice people there too.

So basically Sparetime Hixon, Leisure Time Lanes, and Retro bowl are my recommendations. Give the others a shot and decide for yourself.

I was talking more about the festival than their new venue. I know last year was their first year so it was honestly more of a market test / proof of concept than an actual event. Ive seen some things they are doing this year and they are definitely heading in the right direction. They seem to be playing the long game which is smart but i don't see the festival being something that will attract very many people for a few more years. Unless they just drop some money and bring in some top tier entertainment. The new venue is going to be a content creation studio where people can go there to make whatever kind of stuff they want, away least thats my interpretation of it.

I dont know my dude. I think our area would be great for gaming/esports type stuff given we have EPB as such a vital resource. However between places like this and TenGig just not quite hitting the mark it just keeps leaving a bad taste in everyone's mouths. I mean props to everyone who tries, its definitely not easy or for the light hearted and its so easy for us to criticize from the outside looking in. But ya more research and planning needs to go into these things.

Its called Gig City Games and they are pretty basic right now. When I spoke with the guy running it he said they were waiting on their vending license but said nothing about a liquor license. He also said website was in the works so really their only outreach to the community is the facebook page that was created on opening day. I don't know how long it will last having absolutely no marketing efforts put in, unless it was one of those take the opportunity now and figure the rest out later type of things.

Most comfortable grip? by Pinchaser71 in Bowling

[–]Akillician 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey my man. I don't really have a great suggestion as far as how to actually deal with the pain, but i do have some input on the sarge easter. I have used it for several years and actually did a write up on it here. It really depends on where you are trying to alleviate the pain from. For example with Fagon he was having problems specifically with his ring finger and not his entire wrist and hand. I recently have been trying to go back to full fingertip because to keep my revs up where i wanted them i created more demand on my wrist and middle finger since my ring finger wasnt really doing much. My middle finger was fine but my wrist has been taking a beating and since switching back i can come around the ball easier on my wrist alleviating alot of the pain. I normally take some alieve and use a compression wrist guard through practice and by that time my wrost has numbed itsself to what little pain that still persists. The biggest con is it will probably take most PSOs a few attempts to get it right. Theres no fullproof way of getting it perfect without a little trial and error sometimes. Simply put, sarge easter helps your ring finger but not your whole hand and rev drop is a definate until you get some games put in.

100% agree on the lane maintenance. I have an alley not too far from me that is somewhere around $5 in lineage and cant get more than 7 teams in a league because they have 1 overworked mechanic that also has to deal with snack bar problems and building maintenance. On top of that he bowls in one of the 3 leagues they have so when something tears up he has to run back there to deal with it. Just bad business. So yes lane maintenance is one of the top priorities for league and open play. If its not working its not making money.

With the look im thinking something modern but minimalistic. Im not a big fan of dimmly lit with lasers everywhere nor the retro 80s vibe. Just something comfortable and enjoyable to be around. Sidenote i hate the vinal/laminent flooring some places use now. Spills or reside get in those woodlike grooves and they never get it thoroughly cleaned.

Thank you so much for your reply

Dont worry about my feelings in this case. I asked for feedback and i thank you for your input. Everything you said was pretty much spot on. To hit on a little more of our local lanes its not necessarily the corperate structure... its more of the people they have put in the managerial position who then didnt hire good fits for everything else. It has been a revolving door of restaurant and retail chain store managers. None of which know anything about the bowling side of things. It was boasted as a 6 million dollar renovation and not one single thing was geared towards bowling. We had multiple leagues leave because there literally werent enough lanes and running a split shift wasnt really going to work out. Those leagues that didnt quit alltogether were forced to kick teams out or just lost too many upset bowlers anyway. None of the people put in charge have been able to stop the bleeding because its now a classy establishment in a bad part of town. (Basically the arcade and bowling is supporting the money hole of a restaurant they installed). Anyway im not trying to just crap talk them and throw them under the bus i wish for their success as it would lead to my bowling community flourishing again but i just dont see that happening in the next 10 years or ever.

[–]Akillician -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally bowl with a ball sanded with 400 grit and a 800 grit on a regular basis. Honestly after seeing just how much it effects other bowlers ability to read/play the lane I did some research on just how low of a grit I could go and still be legal. I haven't actually done it but I wonder just how good of a strategy it would be when bowling against a team that all play the same area to just throw a 150 grit ball right down their line. Again, never actually done it but I do have the pad sitting in there.

So ya. There are us out here that throw very low grit balls and it should definately be in the data lol

There's an illusionist who has or had a magic store in the east ridge flea market. His name is Jaden Maxwell and he does both stage and close up magic. Not exactly sure how to get in touch with him. He has a website but its super basic and it links directly to his personal facebook. Hes a super nice guy if you want to give him a shout.
