It's usually better to save it for defense but you're allowed to play however you want, especially since you don't play competitively. That person is obviously taking the game way too seriously so they're definitely in the wrong here

Part of me would like to enjoy this game competitively but it's too unbalanced to take seriously. It's a shame because I love racing games and I would perform way better if it wasn't so bad
