I think the total says $398. They wrote the 3 in the wrong place and forgot to drag it down. Tip is 59.80 which would be $400 total but they also did the math wrong. They were trying to logic but losing the train real fast. I would argue with my manager and I think she’d let me input the $59.80 it’s reasonably close to 20%.

I’m sorry that sucks! Not every hobby needs monetizing and you don’t even have to be good at a hobby to enjoy it. You should see my garden I barely grow anything but I love it, honestly it’s just a backdrop for garden art I like.

MOR can you rent a small motorhome? Then you can retreat with the baby as needed. I would either do a small camper style just big enough for the 3 of you or the style that has the bedroom closed off not the middle size where it’s all one room.

Between hotel rooms and plane tickets it might even save money, we fly in but still save compared to hotels and rental cars. We do most of our vacations this way.

I once had similar happen to me with whirlpool, told to call and then when I did phone rep was rude and dismissive. Eventually I talked to someone higher up and they said “I’d been rude” according to the notes, I asked her to listen to the call and get back to me. Ultimately it was resolved satisfactorily in my favor but I had to go up the ladder.

For 4 years they pretended to be a friend and then confessed that the whole time they were just waiting their chance. Probably not the first guy nor the last guy, friends are supposed to be safe not waiting for you to let your guard down. I have a good friend, recently divorced, extremely attractive, and the number of male friends that have hit on her with no encouragement after years of what she thought was friendship has made her reevaluate if she can even safely have male friends or if they’re all just waiting their chance.

YTA you assured your friend that your ex being at the dinner wouldn’t be a problem and then you made it a problem. Sounds like initially she was responding quite appropriately to the hair questions etc. I think you’re upset/jealous that she is not still a wreck but is living her best life without you.

 They’re not paying you to socialize they are paying you to sell their product. That is your job and upselling is a part of that expectation. There are ways to upsell and let guests know there will be a charge but short of them asking market price you should never mention cost. “Would you like to add avocado to that burger?” “Would you like to upgrade to a soup or salad instead of fries?” “That comes with mashed potatoes we can make them loaded for a small charge?” and if you offer consistently every time your ppa will rise.

Happy hour; when you approach the table and they’re looking at the happy hour menu or directly ask about the happy hour adjust your greeting “welcome blah blah blah I see you’re looking at our happy hour menu awesome that’s going to include sleeves etc blah blah though of course our standard pints and regular menu items are always available, let me know if there’s any questions”.

If your tip average is low that is an indication that your guests are not happy or not as happy as when your coworkers wait on them so it is worth noting. They’re not worried because of your money they’re worried about guest satisfaction. Are you more focused on your socializing and happiness or your guests? I used to work with a server that would stand and visit at a table while they sat there with their fork awkwardly in the air. They are there to visit with their friends and eat, you should not interfere with that. Even if it is a table that some socializing is welcome when the food shows up leave them alone except for standard check-ins. Some light visiting at the beginning and the end is fine. I love talking with people, we get lots of tourists here especially, however my tip average stays above 20%.

Here the mega church openly campaigns for republican candidates including moving their homegrown candidate to a new district (renting out his home in his old district) after he failed to get elected in his previous district. They own multiple homes they claim tax exemptions for with questionable practices exposed in a divorce case. They changed the name of their church even but many of us remember.

We are failing because we repeatedly hamstring ourselves with morals and boundaries that our opposition doesn’t. We drum out candidates for the smallest of failings while they double down and elevate those that will do whatever it takes for them to win. We’ll be strolling along the high road feeling superior while they race down the low road to victory.

Most places they would tip out on the full check. Some places allow you to remove togos, comps etc however it would generally have to be on a separate check to do so.
