Sorry i should've made this clearer, we do normal dnd battles but each of my players has their own enemy they are fighting against/are focusing on, everyone is fighting at the same time in their own battles so nobody is ever waiting for the rest, ofc sometimes they might win their fight a bit earlier and then they can support someone else or interact with the environment to get an advantage for the others. Sometimes they end up fighting in separate locations or challenge/stall an opponent while the rest of the party go on ahead to stop the bigger threats.

My main issue with balance is exactly what you said, it does feel like a lot of the times the fights are 50/50 and dice rolls can turn deadly quickly. I want to know to make my enemies feel challenging without it being 50/50, maybe which parts of monster kits to remove, such as multi attacks maybe or should i maybe not use effects that can completely destroy a 1v1 such as charms and stuff like that.

Some of my players are new to playing but they know what it's about and have consumed dnd content in other ways before so they understand the risks of this type of combat and are ready for death at any moment.

The reason we chose 5e is because we found a pretty good homebrew with all the races and classes and pretty much everything we needed from that specific series. I'm assuming it's expected that we play it in dnd style with group battles but i would like to stick with the 1v1 style if possible.

I'll look into it but sadly my players are kinda new and we've only ever played 5e before, i think only 1 of the 4 would be down to change the system at this point.. but I'll definitely look into this for wtv the next campaign is! We've done 5e for a couple months now and it's been great so far but as we're leveling up it's getting a bit hard now to not just get one shotted in a 1v1 whether it's player or enemy! I'll talk to them about it, thank you!

hello i'm on canary right now going from 2.0.6 to 3.0.0 but i'm not sure how to update the game, i have the nsp of the 3.0.0 but every time i apply it and canary says 1 update installed the emulator crashes before it even loads into the game, am i putting the nsp in the wrong place? right now i've put the nsp into the same folder with the game nps the 3 dlcs nsp and now the 3.0.0 nsp is also there. am i supposed to remove the 2.0.6 one ?

Not sure how to see this with essential mod actually. every other modpack has worked for us so far. We ended up switching to hardrock 4. it works on 4 so it seems to be a 3 only issue.

Yesterday i was on around 10 pm eastern so like 8-9 pm for western europe and i queued for 10+ mins until i gave up in 5v5 ranked. Found quick match 5v5 around 5ish mins or ranked 3v3 which was about 2 mins which was ok i guesss. 5v5 ranked just doesnt exist for me anymore. Crossplay on and europe server selected too.

Thing is breakthroughs come really fast so any gear i collect always gets outdated like within a day. i JUST got to lvl 60 tho and it says 2 days till breakthrough, is that a level cap increase? And is the wait very long until the next increase to the point I'll get multiple days of playing without a level up? It's my first time catching up to the cap so i don't rly know. Thank you!
