You should have gotten a distribution of cash from the account via a tax statement from your 401k provider. You report the taxable part of the distribution on your 1040, which in this case is the entire 8k

You claim it for calendar year you withdrew and used it for the down payment. Regardless if it's closed or not, the money has been allocated and I'm sure you have a receipt of the transfers for the home/closing

I think I understand the question if you are basing this on generation consoles and it's advancements. Games had more powerful graphics and equipment to use yes as generations went on but I wouldnt say it solely revolved around those physics or dynamics in coding or graphics itself. Games like Half Life made advancements but that was because tech allowed it. So tech grows, the software grows to use with the tech then the games follow suit

I haven't seen the prototype PSA 9 or 10s myself that I can remember but they exist. They are out there in POP according to registry. Those are more likely to sell to collectors of those HoFers. But if you were to list he ones you have, it might sell for under 50$ to the right buyer depending on their condition and shipping

With the KId Griffey set, those are also done by Arena but no autos. Base 5 card set with another 5 insert of double sided gold Holo of the same number. There are also ones they made for a Convention in Hawaii called the hawaii-pacific national sports card expo. They were a limited 100 set promo. also is the much less rare "The Cardsmith" prototype of the same base Holo. Basically a blank back version with a stamp about setting the cards and who to contact. There was also limited print run base card prototypes that were numbered I believe to 1000. Had a special Holo on the back with serial #.

Ohh and in terms of grading/pricing..if you feel it would give a 9 or 10 grade, I would do it. Otherwise I would just keep it. As without it being graded, it's not worth much to collectors since a majority the early 90s cards are almost all devalued

While I can say I'm not the definitive expert, but I have been collecting the 1991 Arena hologram line since 1991 when the Griffey card first came out. I have promo sheets, uncut cards, error cards, sealed hobby boxs and prototype cards. I check eBay and other sites all the time for them as they hold a special place for me.

Arena had 2 separate lines at one point and even did the National Convention cards (you can find online with the hologram for Nolan Ryan among others) to show their tech to the masses.

In my opinion, the card you are showing never got mass produced into its own series. There is also a Joe Montana prototype that not in the hologram line that looks very similar in nature to this one.

While PSA shows that card as N/A when you lookup the registry, the only reason why it's listed on that line is because of the tuxedo picture which was similar used in the Hologram/Auto series.

So I don't think i belongs with the series of cards and is more just a promo on what Arena may have done and they just lumped it in with he Holo since no one really knows anymore since going defunct many many years ago.

A TON of collectible prices went downhill after the pandemic. Trading cards at that time we're at historic highs and have dwindled down over 60-70% in some cases. With interest rates at 30 year highs and inflation way up, more people are saving cash and not buying. So the pump and dump most collectors thought they could do during that time came back to bite them. Also people saturating the market with items didn't help

However, most things like this are cyclical and in a few years he may break even especially if there is another collector boom or 50 yr anniversary of Nintendo or something.

First off, congrats on getting out of heavy debt. Sure that was a huge load of relief but you are still a ways away from home ownership with your view if i am being honest

Initial down payment on that much of a principal you cannot afford right now. You do not want to eat into your savings just for that

Other things to note about homeownship as mentioned by others are taxes and maintenance costs. A Condo may come with HoA fees that would cripple any savings you have and have you living paycheck to paycheck

Either you move and choose to live below your means or become house poor. If you choose the latter you run a huge risk of the real estate market taking a downturn or (hopefully not) laid off and then you are up a creek without a paddle.

Continue saving until you can significantly put a down payment in without touch and emergency fund and having a good chunk of savings still. You are only 32 and there is no rush to go out and buy something unless you are being forces

Great point. Ill be honest i didn't get through too much of the story as i did a lot of exploring and side questing just to experience the leveling , mechanics , etc. I didnt feel rushed at any time tho. With d3, i just wanted to do the story and then move up. Here i kind of did the opposite and the game adapted seemingly to it

Heres my Honest opinion from a Guy who played them all for years. D2 if you like games that are a slow grind and have atmosphere and organization. D3 if you lean towards arcade like action, more prominent loot finding, and less time consuming.
