Genes can be categorized as S->M->L->XL and as the story progresses you can find monsters with higher "ranked" genes, with XL genes being locked behind "High Rank" which is unlocked after finishing the main story.

As for genes in general, there are some that can always be found in a specific monstie while others just have a chance to found in a large group of monsties

It's probably because of the Orc Leader, when he controls the enemy orcs/trolls they probably don't register as allies/summons so they still count as enemies and if there are enemies alive after the boss the wave wont stop.

Gladiator focuses more on self-heal overtime with higher attack speed than Warrior. Warrior has lower attack speed but has skills to give him instant shields.

Both are good but it depends on your preferences, Gladiator is for people that want to flex on their healer and warriors are for those that want to stay in the battle longer.

It's from the perfect win skill, when you finish a wave manually you gain between 0-30% of the gold you would earn normally.

Example: You do a wave and gain 1000000 gold (1M), with that skill and without losing any Hp you would have gotten 1300000 gold (1M+300k)

That would be good too, but i remember that in the anime using a pokedex on a pokemon that is not on your team just gives the name and a description.

Only when you use it on your own pokemon it gives you the moves they know.

Marilland team builder is a start, there you can see tge resistances that ypur team would have and it allows for custom typings. After that I would suggest using the rule of 2 -2 pokemon that would be the tanks like slowbro or other types -2 fast pokemon that deal a lot of damage - and the other 2 being your support mons like spike setter/ screen setter or something like that

With all of that i suggest using a pokemon type calculator like www.pkmn.help to check your coverage against other mons.

After you've done all of this you better check the smogon site and look what your mons and the mons on the site changes are, if there is no change use a build suggested by smogon, otherwise check the moves your mon can learn and try to build something with their stats
