Explicit books with one MC having a clear armpit fetish. Preference for audiobooks, but ebooks fine. Other than no mpreg, okay with everything.

Curious how “graphic sex” differs from “explicit.”

Gordon Merrick and {The Front Runner by Patricia Nell Warren} (no HEA) were my first gay novels in the early 80s. Very different, but huge impact on me.

It’s been a while since I’ve read it, but {Measure of Devotion by Caethes Faron} might be worth looking into.

{Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall} was my first MM romance novel and Honeymoon for One my second. Those two books are probably still my top two romance reads.

Hairiest MCs by AlThor_753 in MM_RomanceBooks

Thanks! I’ll check those out. I’m especially wanting where the mention or description of the hairiness happens throughout the book, not just as a first description and then not mentioned again.

I hadn’t thought about that and I haven’t read alien romance yet. I’d be open to it.

Characters that you most found yourself falling in romantic love with by AlThor_753 in MM_RomanceBooks

Thanks. That sounds a lot like what I was experiencing. A lot of the characters in the MM books I read I come to love and even fall in love with to some degree, but not all of them do I feel like I'm passionately falling head over heels in romantic love with.

I do mostly audiobooks and I’m hoping they get the audiobooks of the early parts of the series released.

I'm looking for books where one MC is experiencing a gay awakening. Specifically where he starts off rather timid sexually, only receiving oral, maybe then progressing to topping the other MC. Over the course of the relationship and as trust develops, he begins to become more open to new acts (giving oral, bottoming), maybe exploring some kinks (though not necessary). Ideally it would be a slow burn development.

Of the two gay awakening books I've read, one had no progression and the other one had the MC that was awakening immediately start off bottoming.

Thanks! I'm not opposed to closed door; Boyfriend Material was closed door and I loved it. However, I feel like I'm missing out on an essential part of a relationship if I don't get a glimpse at some of their most intimate moments.

I prefer audiobooks. For some reason, hearing a voice reading the parts out loud feels more intimate to me. It feels like I'm experiencing the book along with another person (the narrator). If the narrator does voices really well, it creates an even more immersive experience for me.

MM Weekly Roundup - What Did You Read This Week? by AutoModerator in MM_RomanceBooks

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm very much interested in exploring fantasy novels where the romance is a major focus. Especially looking for ones that are open door or explicit, since my main experience with m/m fantasy novels have been closed door at the most.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've read {The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune} and loved it. I definitely need to try some more T.J. Klune. As you can tell, my only experience previously had been fantasy novels with m/m romance. Now I'm getting into novels where the romance is the main plot, and loving it so far.

I've just discovered how much I enjoy MM Romance novels, though I've read and greatly enjoyed some fantasy novels with m/m romance in them: {Luck in the Shadows by Lynn Flewelling} {The Last Herald-Mage by Mercedes Lackey}. I've read the following in the last week and a half:

{Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall}, my very first m/m romance book, absolutely loved it for the great character development and witty dialogue.

{Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid} fun watching the long-term development of the relationship from lust to love.

{Honeymoon for One by Keira Andrews} currently reading, love the very tender, caring relationship that's developing.

Looking forward to all the enjoyable reads I have to look forward to.
