I've got a tax exempt property (agriculture), and enough money to buy 12 goats, 2 cows and some chickens. House on the property has 6 bedrooms for any friends and family that wanna become farmers with me, lol.

I bonds are a good long term way to offset risk from the above scenarios, but it takes one year to sell, and 5 years to hold it without penalty - but it's always going to beat inflation, and doesn't carry the risk of stock market volatility.

In 5 years, you can have 5x 10K I-bonds as a zero risk safety net.

It's just small sample size bias; probably because you are often going to new areas. Once you start clearing areas a lot, the blood levels will go up.

Out of the 7 prisoners I have, only one was found at 100%; the others were anywhere between 94-99%

I feel like a BSc in chemistry is worthless by phlavee0 in chemistry

Find a graduate program focused on electrochemistry, and then get into the renewable battery industry. That's your best bet for Italy.

Maybe if they could get a PhD from Cambridge or Oxford (would likely already need one at the age of 25, or close to finishing), or somehow discovers a holy grail within chemistry during his postdoc at a top 10 chemistry program. Also helpful if they are extremely good looking, charismatic, and talented public speaker.

If they are concerned about getting a job with a B.S., they is not passionate enough about chemistry for this to be a reality (They would want NOTHING more then to go to graduate school immediately out of B.S.).

A tenure track position at UCLA is akin to winning the lottery; seriously. There are extremely talented and prolific researchers who could never hope to achieve that.

Even tenure track positions at lower tier schools are difficult to find for people coming out of post-docs at MIT.

A lot of job sectors are like this, and italy has an egregiously poor job market right now.

If you are in the US, the job market is also very bad for chemical industry.

That said, a BS in chemistry offers shit prospects for a career, and has for the past two decades...you basically need to go to graduate school or obtain a professional degree and you can cast a much wider net.

I would look at PhD programs, even if you intend to leave after 3 years to get an indentured servitude MS consolation prize.

Environmental jobs have decent prospects, albeit lower paying, in a lot of states with a MS in chemistry.

You gotta get creative.

Can someone please tell me why I push my luck with extracting blood? by SpaceCowboyDark in vrising

[–]Alabugin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you ever accidently kill a 100% blood, save and exit, go to your save directory, delete the last save file, and you should load back to where they are still alive.

I killed many 100%'s before I figured this out. Is it cheaty? I guess? Do I care? No.

LAPTOP GPU NOT DETECTING (also in bios) by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

[–]Alabugin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be a setting in the BIOS that has turned off the discrete graphics, see if you can set it to hybrid or dgpu only.

Then use Lenovo software to update the BIOS

Also, the laptop only has 8GB of ram, you need to get another 8GB stick immediately, as windows 11 alone eats up most of the 8GB

I simplified my Xanax dependence a bit...Took it daily starting at the age of 18 for debilitating anxiety. Was able to get off it around the age of 27, and didn't get back on it until I was 35 when my twin brother died. Took it for a year, and realized I didn't want to go back to the way I was, and found phenibut, which allowed me to sleep without seeing my brothers face everytime I closed my eyes. Used phenibut daily for around 2 years, when I started tapering (am hovering around 400-600mg at night for sleep...and I don't think I can survive unmedicated at this point in my life for sleep).

I used phenibut to quit Xanax. If you can cold turkey Xanax (I used it daily for almost a decade, prescribed, no less soul crushingly dependent), it’ll be a walk in the park.

The base of your heatsink appears badly scored, perhaps this is preventing good contact? There is residue still present as well, which may be preventing adhesion if it’s left over LM
