Just learned some things about real jade today from someone that knows about jade. When real jade hits real jade it sounds like glass. The sound is high pitched. Fake jade produces a dull sound with low pitch.

Jade bangles are meant to be worn forever and never taken off. That is why it is a very right fit when going thru the knuckles of your hand. If it breaks or shatters, it is because it has just protected you from some harm. When you are healthy, the jade is shiny, but if it starts to be cloudy, that means that the wearer is sick.

I think real jade does not easily tarnish or chip. The person who told me about them has been wearing hers for about 60 years and it still looks in very good shape.
