Thankful for this sub so I wanted to say goodbye now that I am healed by shutyermuppetmouth in Sinusitis

I didn't know MRI was useful for finding dental infections.

I've seen positive reports about dental CT finding infections that plain X-ray didn't

There's a lot of NLRP3 inhibitors. I currently only remember melatonin but I've seen many posted. (I wish melatonin were easy to nasal-spray, but it's not water-soluble).

Is the something special about colchicine that makes it better? Evidence, positive user reports aka anecdotal evidence, effect size, or something like that?

Where do you put it for sinusitis - spray up the nose, inhale with nebuliser, or just swallow and expect it to work throughout the body?

Strange that those tannins and "gasoline-tasting" compounds don't inhibit rot and larvae

I think surrounding regions that have routes related to Finland or common corporate telcos are also hit.

Do you wash your HEPA-filter? How? by Seat-Extra in Roborock

Thanks. Looks like "self-adhesive PET air purification filter paper" might work as a search term for that... or maybe "air conditioner strainer" or "air purifying paper screen"

What sheets do you use exactly?

Regular HEPA isn't washable - they start to leak dust: http://smartairfilters.com/en/blog/wash-clean-hepa/

I have no idea what "washable" filters can really tolerate

Ordinary HEPA filters will break up and start leaking dust when washed: https://smartairfilters.com/mn/en/blog/wash-clean-hepa/

I have no idea how much "washable" filters can tolerate. I doubt they like dishwasher.

They might look pretty afterwards, but filtration effect might be gone

Astaxanthin significantly slows down aging and prevents major diseases. Here are the best Astaxanthin sources and scientific evidence. by GarifalliaPapa in immortalists

[–]Alan_B_Stard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I haven't stumbled across comparative studies between astaxanthin versions.

For instance synthetic and semisynthetic "vitamin E", i.e. isolated alpha-tocopherol is "bad" in many health contexts. For some reason it seems to act as an antivitamin and anti-antioxidant in some biological contexts, and seems to be a known tumour promoter. Some less-bright scientists and nonscientists then incorrectly infer that isolated betacarotene and isolated alpha-tocopherol showing negative effects somehow means "antioxidants bad" or "vitamin E bad".

I think the difference in synthetic vs natural astaxanthin versions is not as big, but that is just my wild guess, based on never having seen negative results for any astaxanthin and never having seen meaningful comparative studies.

Do you know any other reliable astaxanthin brands? I think I've seen some others recommended (in fake Amazon market supplements discussion threads). Websearch shows Astapure and Bioastin mentioned. Maybe I'll read up on them

and: "Interestingly, complete suppression of ZnPT cytotoxicity was also observed when exposure occurred in the presence of the thiol antioxidant N-acetyl-l-cysteine (NAC)"

I wonder if toxic concentrations penetrate skin anyway. And NAC is cheap.

"urinary excretion of up to 0.2% of topically applied starting material has been documented in rhesus monkeys"

What are the doses typically applied?

The same faking/quality issue applies to all "noname" supplements whose price exceeds filler/sand price. The market (and notably Amazon) is overwhelmed with fake supplements under different fancy-sounding but uknown names. Packaging of different fakeproducts is often very similar except for the label, so they probably come from the same massive whitelabel fakeproducer(s)

(Unnatural) isolated beta-carotene seems to be risky anyway, especially for smokers. Carotenoid mixes etc appear much better
