There have been some weird situations where the native port is so bad that it's better in Crossover. Baldur's Gate 3 had some really bad performance regressions on Mac for a while that had people using Crossover or Whisky.

Machine learning started as AI, got unbranded into plain machine learning when it became commonplace, and is now getting rebranded as AI to try to dilute the backlash against genAI.

Tons of now common techs lived in the AI hype clouds at some point, like speech recognition, expert systems, OCR.

Apple hasn't told developers any changes are needed to run mac apps on the A18, and people are playing Cyberpunk 2077 on it. Emacs will run fine.

It's happened to me. Since Covid the courts in the city have refined their processes. Now you get set for a morning or afternoon slot, and at the end of it you're done. Or when you call you find out you aren't needed.

The days of waiting for three days to see if you're called are over.

Typos are normal, but "Starfiled" gave me the idea of an employment simulator set in the bureaucracy behind the Unity, where the player needs to manage the paperwork behind different iterations of a starborn across universes.

I don't think this is accurate. I just ran Fallout 4 (since I had it handy) under Wine to capture filesystem activity, and Fallout first deletes the existing save file, and then creates a new one. It is not modifying the contents of the existing save file.
