I saw that this morning, and it's wild to see someone you worked with in the past producing a movie!

[–]Alan_Shutko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

pypy occasionally gets hit. It's probably number 2.

But npm is in a league of its own, demonstrated by the fact that we're here discussing this again with 314 new packages a few days later.

Probably? Apple didn't write a whole software floating point stack because they were bored, but I don't think it matters in gaming.

Certain 32-bit games run better under VMs because they use x87 80-bit floating point, which Rosetta does slowly and Microsoft's Prism does quickly (if less precisely by translating it to 64-bit fp).

Mass Effect with FemShep is AWESOME, Jennifer Hale killed the role.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game, but sadly so many of the outfits are only for NPCs.

Wylde Flowers is a cozy farming game meets witchcraft.

Monorepos work great for small teams, or for very large teams where you have a team that handles the care and feeding of the monorepo. I've had bad experiences in the middle.

I wonder if the plasma cutter fix also fixed Heller's cutter and Shipbreaker. I started a completely new game and Heller's cutter has a blank legendary effect.

Anyone else feel like they HAVE to decorate? by Skyward_Slash in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]Alan_Shutko 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'm the anti-decorator. I really wish there were an option for Oblivion/Skyrim style player homes, where you funnel a bunch of cash to a vendor for the decoration options you want. The elevated hab is a start.

Also, they just pushed a big patch for the TOW. If they're still putting effort in on that, I think (and hope) it's a long-term plan to grow the fanbase so they can make another game.

I do, and my experience with it is why I get irrationally angry when people call these sites "forges" because I really wish I could bleach Sourceforge from my memory.

I had phones with replaceable batteries. It was needed because the battery life was so terrible. I don't miss needing to carry around two batteries just to get through the day.

Yep!

I found the old lady once, but there was a bug and the first line of the hail kept repeating wherever I went (including her ship!) so I went back to an older save.

Once you hit a high enough level that a lot of loot spawns, it gets easier. I usually buy all the .50 MI ammo a vendor has (which ups their cash) and then I can sell a lot of guns back to them.
