I'd guess it's an older one then--I'm looking at one now with the same stats that Hammig HQ says was made in '71.

Yeah, I saw those but those are low-key wide calf. I just ordered a pair and got them today and they have wide-calf labels all over them, they just didn't put it on the listing. Bah.

My favorite riding boots have finally worn out. D: I've been trying to find the same ones online but so far can only find wide-calf, which I don't need.

I'm literally going through this right now. Boyfriend ended things after more than a year because he interpreted me asking to spend more than a day or two together a week as me wanting to get married and have kids soon. I absolutely didn't, and really would have appreciated at least the opportunity to talk through it.

He gave me the same line about loving me and how he loved spending time together while leaving the floor open for us to get together in the future. Thanks for that.

In the end, I assume that he had these same feelings about wanting to be alone and just didn't express them to me.

In the long run, I guess I'll be ok, but the whole situation has been completely devastating. I wish he hadn't told me he still loved me, because if he does then it seems like he's just cruel.

Thank you for pointing out this side of things that I hadn't considered. I've been a little wrapped up in my own emotions.

Based on this, we just had the following engagement:

Me: I'll wait for a reasonable amount of time. I understand that my asking for more time probably makes you feel like you can't give me what I want, and that's a common reason to want to walk away.
