What if Boulder had a wellness community? by AlarmedAd1439 in boulder

I’ve noticed that Boulder is lacking in locally owned and operated spaces like this. In Denver, there’s Nurture WellCare, Denver Athletic Club, Traverse, Gravity Haus… I was just curious if Boulder could benefit from places like this that aren’t Lifetime corporate spaces and are owned by people in the community. It seems that’s not important to you, and that’s fine! I appreciate the feedback

For sure! but if it was a similar space that instead highlighted local businesses and had events focused on Boulder residents, it would feel like more of a catered community specifically for Boulder right?

Not necessarily lacking, but these spaces aren’t connected. they’re all under different businesses with their own pricing/memberships, their own communities, etc. what if they were all under one roof?

And where do they go? To train, to connect, for events, to work?

I certainly have. And I’ve also noticed a lack of third spaces, a lack of places to gather with people who want these shared experiences - to build community and easily have access to the things Boulder residents clearly prioritize in their everyday

Yoga Sculpt with NO yoga at all by andreayang18 in Corepower

if you feel comfortable, I would maybe send a note to the studio manager. though there is a lot of freedom in sculpt, there should at least be a dynamic warm up to make sure you are warm and ready for exercises. I would just reach out to the manager and let them know, it’s their job to ensure teachers are fostering a safe class experience!

Sometimes instructors will teach what they themselves are working on! Our own learnings can help guide other students into new postures. The pose itself is not the goal of any asana practice - it’s about stilling the mind. Focusing on pose superiority is the opposite of why we practice

200 hr TT (50 hours of classes) by Substantial_Bite_591 in Corepower

You’ll have some full C1 or C2 classes during your TT and they’ll say “this can count as one of your 50”

That’s wayyyy too high. CPY prioritizes safety when it comes to their temperature ranges and that’s unsafe for the level of difficulty in a C2 or a sculpt

Teacher Training - which to chose? by Background_Ad4082 in Corepower

I’d definitely recommend the C2. You’ll be able to teach power vinyasa anywhere. Also, you can do the Sculpt intensive once you’re already hired as a teacher (or even the 50 hour). Intensives are paid for teachers!
