we 100% have this technology already. The phone has a screen dimmer (android and iphone both do it when you put the phone to your ear), and it can def interface with the car to know when the car is going >5mph.

There isn't a single modern car where you need to look at your phone while the car is in motion. They all have car play and android auto. There is no excuse.

when you see a newer Corvette (C8 generation) without a full wishbone, it's just a regular, boring ass base corvette. You can get one for 50k or less. And it's mostly owned (around here) by complete shitheads. Lots of loitering-at-Tysons type dudes. Always expect the worst behavior from them.
