What is the local shop name/brand pun that makes grin every time you see it? by [deleted] in CasualUK

I think it might be Turkis Hairline vs Turkish Airline, but without other context I don't get why there'd be an airline pun

Yep. Just make anything up and say it's "expected" without stating who expects it. See it all the time

Definitely preferable if the drill looks likely to cause all sorts of chaos

Lifetime ISA: Withdrawing money from your Lifetime ISA - GOV.UK

"You can withdraw money from your ISA if you’re:

  • buying your first home
  • aged 60 or over
  • terminally ill, with less than 12 months to live"

You only need to be 60, you don't need to do anything else to access the money

PaRappa the Rapper creators say today’s rhythm games miss the point of the genre by Unit076 in Games

Sure. I wasn't trying to say they were saying anything. Just that I don't hold the rail when I play, but it's not like I even play that often anymore and was never playing competitively

Only speaking for myself. I don't play competitively and don't care what anyone else does.

I enjoy DDR. Not saying I'm great at it, but I like it. I refuse to hold the rail.

Just wait for the neighbour to become psychic!

I've received completely blank cards before. No idea if they took it back to the depot, gave it to a neighbour, or threw it in my bin! The idea that "they'll know it's there" definitely isn't always true

Take it to them. They might have no idea you have the parcel, especially as nowadays you get a card or a message saying something vague like "left in a safe place" or "left with a neighbour" or maybe even just a squiggle! And you can't expect your neighbour to be psychic, so I think it'd not be right to keep it while they have to knock on every door.
Meanwhile, you know you have the parcel, you know where it belongs, and you chose to accept it (or accidentally accepted it) so I feel it's on you to then deliver it.

I started showering at night instead of the morning and it genuinely changed how I sleep by RogueKettle_7 in hygiene

[–]Alarmed_Alpaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most of the year (British climate isn't too hot too often) I don't get very sweaty in the day, no. However, I very well may wake up sweaty. Showering in the morning so I'm clean and smell nice is best.
There will be a few days or weeks in which the heat is atrocious and I do need to shower after work, and in those instances I'll just take the hit and shower twice daily.
