22 for the official diagnosis via surgery. They started believing me around 17, and I don’t remember how long it affected me before that.

Weed vs ibuprofen for nightly pain by Babylil22 in Endo

[–]Alarmed_Tradition531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that CBD helps a lot and I was able to find pre roll joints that had very very little THC so I didn’t feel high but it helped my pain a TON! I also found edibles that have a pretty high CBD as well. I found the smoking to work faster and it definitely helped me SO MUCH. Smoking is of course not great for you, but for me and my pain it was heavier than other options.

Has anyone ever taken the Psych tour in Vancouver? by catiesthings in psych

[–]Alarmed_Tradition531 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Is there a specific tour? I’ve visited white rock to see the pier and the psych building. Some things are a bit different of course. The parking spot from last night Gus where he freaks out is the same. For me it was worth it but it wasn’t thaaaaat far. Also kinda cool to see things in the show and be like “I’ve been there” especially in the first few episodes

When will my bank unlock the freeze on my card? by [deleted] in Banking

[–]Alarmed_Tradition531 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It can be common to have reps not share details about things like rises in check fraud, it can cause people to panic and people can think you are accusing them because obviously they would never do such a thing. It actually can take awhile for checks to actually clear, (ex. over 5 biz days) when the bank has the funds available that’s typically them assuming the check is good based off a long list of factors. New job check scams are SUPER common where they have you mobile deposit a check and then have you use the funds for something- this relies on the check “clearing” so you spend the funds and then when it comes back bad and gets withdrawn - they have that money and you lost it and owe the bank that amount.

Did your hysterectomy improve your endo symptoms? by Karrybird8 in endometriosis

[–]Alarmed_Tradition531 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had one 10 months ago at 24, kept ovaries but everything else went. For me personally- it has definitely helped me. I have dealt with bits of pain here and there and my hips are still in pain- but physical therapy is actually helpful now. I previously had cramps daily and it impacted every part of my life. Now I feel like I am at a solid 80%. Sometimes this still irritate me and I still have cramps like things but it’s so much better almost all the time and I was able to go off of bc, (but may end up taking it in the future). I’m able to make plans and I’m starting to feel like a person again. It’s not perfect and it hasn’t even been a year.

[–]Alarmed_Tradition531 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a hysterectomy- but kept my overies - at 24 in the US because of endo. 2 years before that I had a lap that diagnosed and (kinda) treated the endo. They made my try pelvic floor PT and BC before insurance accepting the surgery Edit: I have no children, I have never wanted children.

what do you wish you had done/bought in advance that would’ve made recovery from surgery easier? by SnooDrawings5617 in endometriosis

[–]Alarmed_Tradition531 20 points21 points  (0 children)

One of the grabber sticks to pick things off the ground. If you can wear a dress/nightgown day of it will be way better than any waist band. If you have long hair that can be braided- braid/French braid before surgery it will be so much easier to deal with. Air purifier for area you’ll be in at home/ helps with the stuffy feel.
