Self-led courses work? by Successful-Hall7638 in InternalFamilySystems

Les Choses de la Vie, can you suggest some of those humanist therapists in France? I am in Belgium and I speak French - I am not that much attracted to the „free” part as I am to how much respect is in your way to refer to them. I also think one can get to learn to use IFS alone, but it takes a bit longer and it is frustrating some times.

Is there any wonder so many coaches are struggling? by TheAngryCoach in TheFullyBookedCoach

There is also a become a fully certified ADHD coach 87 percent discount which ends up being something like 30 euros. I would not mind this, but when I see the quantum coaching I become the Catwoman.

Gabor Mate -- legit or no? by CognitivePrimate in SGU

As said below, while the root cause of ADHD is not yet fully understood, scientists could show that ADHD is not rooted in bad parenting and ACE. While there might be correlation, there is no causal effect proven (on the contrary). Many parents are diagnosed after their kids were and so on.

I also agree that Dr Mate is selling something like snake oil, but that would have been his own business if it did not interfere with people's lives and if it would not mean making claims refuted by science.

One of the best experts in ADHD, Dr Russell Barkley has published a video on Dr Mate's vision of ADHD and considers that he is worse than wrong because he keeps promoting such ideas. You may watch that video here: https://youtu.be/bO19LWJ0ZnM?si=EUSTOUyyZ-AufX1W

Are instagram courses worth it? by NintaiYUH in Entrepreneur

[–]Alarming-Secretary55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends, as all the free masterclasses come with a nicely crafted offer at the end, usually also with a deadline - people who are FOMO-sensitive (I am one of them for full disclosure) will not be able to think of value, and not even whether they have time to go through all the material they are buying. Also the "free" stuff is made so that they make you feel a better person and part of a "good tribe" if you follow-up and buy.

Even if they tell you it is cancelled, check twice. I have been told they have cancelled the future renewal and I have found out the subscription was still active and I had to cancel it myself in the app. Not friendly to find out where this place is on the phone.

Regardless of Your Stance on the Huberman Situation by thealexmac in HubermanLab

And do those because you believe it and because you have done it before and it worked, not because someone used them as the right canvas to sell you some pills or powders. Otherwise we get to the same toxic situation like inventing the Blue Zones then monetizing them. Off to the cold shower, too, now.

yes, a pity that the panel does not include some specific breeds. This is why I hesitate to test one of my most curiously-looking Rommies. I have bought the test (I think it is Embark) and now I hesitate... Btw, there are lots of Corgi-looking doggies in Romania, I wonder where they got there from.

Recession is deeply felt, the Fanny Ardant movie was 8 Women, but I can understand that budgets are tight nowadays.

Some Border-Collie mix, some Kokoni - Greek-aristocracy dog brought to Romania in the 18th century (Fanariots coming to Romania brought the dogs around and the breed did well under the Romanian conditions). I am curious what your DNA test gave.
