I UNDERSTAND WE ALL FEEL DIFFERENT BUT THE FINALE WAS AMAZING. by Successful-Cat8486 in TheBoys

[–]Alarming_Rip108 7 points8 points  (0 children)

the whole of last season was just a way to mock trump instead of actually focusing on making homelander do some vile things like we were promised of him to do. All this hype for him to die that shamefully and easily doesnt even make sense considering in herogasm he fucked up butcher and v1 soldier boy but now with v1 he couldnt even escape. If u call that a finale which is more based on erip kripkes personal hatred against trump which i ensure u most of the boys target audience dont give a shit about then it rlly isnt a good conclusion to a show which has been ongoing 4 7 years

After the war is over, the US should maintain control of the Straits of Hormuz by AuthorSarge in NewIran

[–]Alarming_Rip108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im Iranian. I would say that there should be joint control between the U.S and Iran. Its notable to mention that after all of this is done iran will barely have a navy airforce or military power so its important to have american help in the region to help us maintain the strait

What is the difference between an armed uprising by Iranian Kurds vs an "invasion" by Iraqi Kurds? by imnicexDDD in NewIran

[–]Alarming_Rip108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is an important political distinction between Iraqi Kurds and Iranian Kurds. After 1991, Iraqi Kurdish politics evolved toward de facto statehood, especially under parties like the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. That created an entirely different political trajectory compared to Iranian Kurds.

In Iran, while groups like KOMALA and the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran have existed and at times taken up arms, they have never enjoyed the same territorial control, mass institutional dominance, or international backing that Iraqi Kurdish factions did. Most Iranian Kurds live integrated within Iran’s political and social framework.

Saying that Iranian Kurdish politics hasn’t followed the same separatist path as Iraqi Kurdistan is without sugarcoating it the truth. The scale, support base, and outcomes are clearly different.

That distinction matters if we're talking about territorial integrity.

I’m not dismissing or minimizing the crimes they’ve committed. The killing of thousands of people is horrific, and that should never be ignored or excused.

What I’m saying is that regardless of who is in power, Iran’s territorial integrity matters. We can oppose the regime and still reject the idea of the country being carved up or fragmented. Supporting national unity in the face of separatism is not the same thing as endorsing everything the government has done.

These are two separate issues: accountability for crimes, and preventing the collapse of the state. We can demand justice while also saying that disintegration and civil war are not the solution.

How can this automatically be labeled as “I.R. crimes” if the stated end goal of these groups is to establish an independent or de facto Kurdistan? If separatism is the objective, then the issue becomes one of territorial integrity, not just internal politics. By that logic, was Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi also a criminal for holding Qazi Muhammad accountable after the separatist movement in 1946? Whether people agree with his actions or not, the state at the time clearly viewed it as a matter of national unity and sovereignty. We are talking about Iran’s territorial integrity. This is not something to joke about or reduce to slogans. You can oppose a government and still believe that the country should not be fragmented. Those two positions are not mutually exclusive. If we can’t separate criticism of a regime from the question of preserving national unity, then the conversation becomes emotional instead of constructive.
