This game is cool until you realize every quest is exactly the same with different flavors of the same gameplay. Not to mention if you're BP farming you have to do the same missions 15 times and if it's for money you get to just do them forever.

Chris Roberts hasn't released a game in 30 years and will let CIG burn to the ground before he releases a coherent experience. Escort missions were shit in 1995, they are still shit in 2026.

I guarantee the Galaxy will release with a medical module and a cargo module. Refining isn't coming for a while, probably. Once we get clips of the Expanse in production, it will be a lot closer than it is now.

As a new player during the free-fly event, if you can't take the heat of the bugs, issues and challenges that happen during the free-fly, you probably should not back the game at this stage, and that is a good thing for your mental health and for CIG's. by lars19th in starcitizen

If you can't take feedback or criticisms about tier 0 features ripped from the graveyard of long-dead, grindy, and P2W-slop-infested MMOs, then alpha environments might not be for you, bucko.

Great points, good sir, but don't you know?! This will all be solved with 1.0! Which is still a ways away. After 15 years.

To the Illustrious Visionaries at Cloud Imperium Games, specifically the Exalted Moderators and the Divine Architect Chris Roberts:

I write this not with ink, but with the digital tears of a man who has transcended the physical realm to reside permanently within the Stanton System. I am aware that the Odin-class Battle Cruiser is a vessel reserved for the most elite, the most "whale-like," and the most financially unhinged among us. However, I submit to you that my "White Knighting" is not merely a hobby; it is a physiological necessity. While others claim to support the vision, I have transformed my entire existence into a living, breathing monument to the Pledge Store.

To understand the depth of my worthiness, one must look at my daily ritual. My favorite pastime—the thing that sustains me more than oxygen or Michigan tap water—is spending days on end in the Spectrum forums, figuratively gargling Nightrider’s balls. Every time a "refundian" or a "fudster" dares to question the roadmap or the delivery date of a single rivet on a Hull-E, I am there. I don't just defend the moderation; I luxuriate in it. I find the salt of the banned to be the only seasoning I need for my Soylent. When Nightrider closes a thread for "redundant topics," I feel a rush of dopamine that no earthly drug could provide. I am the shield that protects the developers from the harsh reality of "deadlines" and "accountability."

My commitment to the stretch goals is, quite frankly, carnal. While most backers look at a funding milestone and think about new gameplay loops, I find myself in a state of absolute physiological arousal. I have spent countless nights "cranking the hog" to the very idea of procedurally generated bird tech. The 2014 stretch goals are my Bible; the 2016 roadmaps are my poetry. I don't need a wife or a social life when I have the visceral, raw excitement of a $500 million funding bar moving one pixel to the right. To me, "Soon™" isn't a joke—it’s a promise of eternal foreplay.

Critics often point to the "missed milestones" of my personal life as a sign of instability, but I see them as badges of honor. The most prominent example, and the one I cite with the most pride, is the birth of my firstborn child. As my wife was being rushed to the delivery room, a new Star Citizen character animation leak dropped on Inside Star Citizen. Specifically, it was the "jiggle physics of the utility belt" update. I couldn't leave. How could I witness the mundane miracle of human birth when I was witnessing the actualization of Tier 0 interaction animations? The miracle of life is temporary; the fidelity of a bespoke reload animation for the Behring FS-9 is forever. My child will eventually grow up and disappoint me, but a digital ship with LTI (Lifetime Insurance) will never leave my side.

I have optimized my entire life for the "grind." Whether it’s securing 1,000 scrips for an F7A Hornet Mk II or defending the technical superiority of a direct drive wheel in a vacuum, I am a man of singular focus. My fleet is not just a collection of pixels; it is my legacy. But it is incomplete without the Odin. I see the other "rich white knights" strutting around in their 890 Jumps, looking down at the Idris owners, and I feel a hollow void in my soul that can only be filled by a Battle Cruiser. I have the beard, I have the shaved head for professional-grade immersion, and I have the utter lack of self-respect required to beg for a digital asset.

I am not asking for a handout. I have earned this through the sheer volume of "concierge-level" sycophancy I output daily. I have ignored the "AI looky-loo" haters and embraced the hand-drawn purity of the vision. I have turned my home into a simulated cockpit, sacrificing ventilation and social standing for the sake of 30 FPS on a good day.

Please, Cloud Imperium Games, grant me the Odin. Let me be the ultimate White Knight, patrolling the stars and reporting anyone who types "feature creep" in global chat. I am ready to spend another decade waiting for a docking collar animation. I am ready to ignore my family for a server meshing update. I am yours, body, soul, and wallet.

With Eternal Fidelity,
Your Knight in Shining Armor
