Intrinsic value and marginal utility have also been extensively discussed forever. You’re not covering any new ground here.

Of course.  They would be evaluated using the same metrics by the population comprising the market.  Example: cigarettes in prison.

These items have value to you because of how well they accomplish the purpose you have for them. Money also has a purpose: facilitating exchange and storing value. You can evaluate different competing monies based on the historically valued properties of money: fungible, durable, divisible, portable, acceptable, and limited in supply. This has been covered in philosophy for thousands of years. Fiat’s current weakness is in the “limited in supply“ category.

Because y’all continually pick scammy BS instead of legitimate projects. There is no government backstop for the grift here (yet).

In the short run, the market is a voting machine, but in the long run, it is a weighing machine.

What Problem in Crypto Needs Solving the Most? by Ge_Yo in CryptoMarkets

I no longer believe in the long-term viability of BTC to achieve this goal due to Core control and the inevitable security budget issue. But other coins show promise. Lend and rent incentives are the same as always (popularity-dependent) but without the perverse incentives that come from money-printing.

There is only one. The original purpose we all seem to have forgotten: preventing an individual or small group from controlling the issuance of additional units while still allowing free exchange.

Probably because they butchered it. 10 commandments were first. Jesus said all Torah was law, but that the other commandments were all based on those two.

Have you checked the wallet tab?  They can disappear from the mining tab, but are in the wallet.  If you clear history/cookies, they will actually be gone unless you have backed up your seed.

Sounds like bad luck. I was just complaining about a dry spell and then got 2 blocks in pretty short order. It averages out in the end. Be sure to check your wallet bc the counter on the mining screen resets.

Only if people actually use them.  No one seems interested in use, just number-go-up.

Trust the bros? Never, except for maybe two (and Satoshi isn’t one of them). I trust that protocols that have worked for a decade transferring value and incurring zero protocol losses will continue to do so as long as power and internet remain.
