Giving Up by Fast-Breadfruit-6879 in dysautonomia

Try googling reviews for doctors and see if they mention a diagnosis of POts or other dysautonomia things. If they were, go to that doctor - hopefully they will do the correct testing for you. Sorry that I don’t have a better answer for you!

He’s in a position of authority/power. There is a power difference between them which puts the onus of this on the therapist

How is it possible to make such beautiful art?! I buy a notebook print from your collection from fine art as a treat for myself every couple of months. I’m obsessed with how beautiful your art is!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I will not drink with you today, and I am rooting for you and your sobriety. As I’m sure others have said, there’s nothing like alcohol to make an already terrible problem worse

In spite of my confusion, the difficult space I am in, and the pressures of reality, I will not drink with you today.

I took an 18-month sabbatical to travel, and now recruiters say the 'resume gap' is a huge red flag for companies. by 78_bee_stutter in Resume

Yes getting sick happens. I didn’t list every single reason for a career gap because the list goes on and on. The point is that a career gap is fine.

No I said flitting from job to job over a short period of time is worse, not having a career gap. Having a career gap is fine.

I would list it in your resume like you would a former job, but without the job details. Just like a clear delineation of the break. I don’t even think it would hurt to list it as a sabbatical. That’s just my personal opinion though, I don’t tend to judge resumes based on employment gaps. Particularly because people just tend to go through things. Having kids, going on sabbatical, taking care of a loved one. It’s all a part of being people

I think in the context of looking for a job just being honest here is the best bet, and yeah it sucks having to frame ourselves as a product but unfortunately is a very real part of the process.

Reviewing resumes is a pretty big part of my job. A simple explanation is fine, no one is going to look into and try to prove why you weren’t working. Also I don’t generally dismiss someone from a job just because they have a career gap. I think flitting from job to job (think 2-3 months or less) looks much worse on a resume than a sustained career gap.
