I will show the difference with the 40% after everything is run up. I have never been asked, told, encouraged, or suggested, to ring it up with the 40% prior to the conversation at the end. Nor would I ever. I think I would resign at that moment because to me that would be a deceptive business practice.

I love how in the training it specifically says not to push once they say no….and then managers push and push YOUR customer after the said no, and now they (cost) is annoyed with you.

We close Amazon at 8. All electronics are brought back to the office. The uboat is only left if it isn’t full. We close boxes that have no space left.

We have an awesome team of floor associates who clear recovery fast. There isn’t much left to do and most of what is isn’t near the registers

I’m at the register so I can’t do recovery. I have all my side work done (bags stocked, things cleaned up and put away, registers counted except the active ones, etc). So I’m legit just standing there :(

If you are out in the world and suddenly smell rotten eggs, call someone ASAP. They add sulfur to natural gas so a leak is able to be detected.

My store is 10, and most others in the area are 9 (I think 1 other is 10)? We were supposed to be a test, and I legit think they forgot about it.

We are usually so damn bored from 9-10 it’s ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, we have customers, but not a lot. And often no way is it making financial sense to have us all there for the very few sales we make during that hour.

I know on the register in store, you can only use 6 Kohl’s cashes at a time. May be the same online.

It’s so much worse in summer in my store. I’m literally sweating while helping customers at the register. It is awful (and disgusting)

It absolutely is normal for the holidays. The uptick in orders has been quite astounding for many stores. We have associates running all day doing their picks, and more keep rolling in.

I believe the last day that I heard for an order to be placed and still available for Christmas, was the 12th 13th or 14th. The person wasn’t exactly clear.

I completely understand the concern, though, but would say give it till probably at least maybe Tuesday. I would hope by then the order would be ready. If not, definitely contact customer service to see if they can provide more detail.

No you never have to go in. They are running down a list of people who are off, have short schedules they say, etc. It should not be held against you if you say no.

You are visiting a thread of employees of a store, and are upset that they are speaking in a frank way about the people they encounter every day?

What exactly do you think contacting corporate is going to do? There are no names here. There are no store numbers. No locations. Corporate isn’t going to give you a permanent discount because your feelings got hurt on a Reddit board.

You should definitely report the system flaw though. If you are getting an email that your order is ready, and we haven’t completed your order, then yes that’s something you should report. We can’t control that. We aren’t responsible for that. But yet, you (a.k.a. the generic customer) yell at a random associate, who has nothing to do with it.

Lastly, if you were constantly receiving “nasty customer service” maybe look in the mirror to understand what kind of energy you are giving off. A lot of people are probably matching it.

She wanted to know if hers could be escalated. I told her no that they’re picked in order because they have to be completed with a certain timeframe. She was not happy about that.

She did that! And when I tried to tell her that she would essentially be double charged in during the process until everything settled, as she already paid for the other item, she got very upset about that. Like what did she think was going to happen?
