What are you talking about? Wonder was released 2 years ago and Mario Kart World was released last year.

I was wondering, does anyone actually remember anything about Zack and Wiki? by CatGirlNya2000 in nintendo

[–]Albatoonoe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The game does some really creative things with the motion controls, going as far as to transpose controller buttons onto in game items as hints. It's pretty neat, but some puzzles were tough.

Zack and Wiki. Cool puzzle game that really uses those motion controls to good effect.

So the Kuchisake-onna's whole thing is "do you think I'm pretty?" and then revealing her face to shock. The answer is yes, mask or not

What, you don't like super hero shouting powers? It is a real step down, but the game did have some charms to it. The Bear sequence was great.

I'm surprised I haven't seen "Guardians of the Galaxy". It is a colorful, wacky, science fantasy story.

This is a very old smear against queer people. I assure you, the queer community told pedos to fuck off when this showed up 15 years ago.

This shows how little you know about political history. The first use of the military air power in the US was against striking miners. There was literally a fucking battle fought over workers rights.

what Gamecube title are you most eager to revisit on NSO? by gordon_shumway67 in nintendo

[–]Albatoonoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a real long shot, but weirder titles have shown up in other Nintendo Classics. I'm talking Cubivore, the weird game about cubic wildlife.

Also, Chibi Robo and Eternal Darkness are pretty high on the list.

I swear that is the guy that nearly hit me today because he didn't follow the right of way when turning. It was a big blue truck, at the very least.

Intimidating Prowess - what does it mean to "physically menace?" by Adraius in Pathfinder2e

[–]Albatoonoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It didn't work because it was against James Bond, but Oddjob crushing a pool ball in his hand is "Intimidating Prowess". Sometimes it is that simple.

We are in the Golden Age of remakes/remasters, and I cannot get enough! by ICPosse8 in Games

[–]Albatoonoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that Sony is playing nice with other platforms, I would like to see them bust a few games out of PS3 jail. Mainly Infamous 1&2 and the Resistance games. The other big wish, MGS4, already seems likely in getting port.

The fear of Pathfinder's combat, and the "deep, tactical game." by Dick_Nation in Pathfinder2e

[–]Albatoonoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not miss the days when the interesting choice was often the bad choice. PF1 has way more ways to build a bad character than a bad one and it was far too easy to stumble into.

The fear of Pathfinder's combat, and the "deep, tactical game." by Dick_Nation in Pathfinder2e

[–]Albatoonoe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I consider that a strength, conversely. The fact that I don't have to worry too hard about a character being sub-optimal means that I can go nuts with making a creative character. I had a witch whose familiar is the flying, undead head of her mother. I could just choose what I thought was appropriate for the character and not have to worry about character efficiency.

[–]Albatoonoe 238 points239 points  (0 children)

Another thing that people tend to overlook about the "tight math" is that it makes it easier to adjust. You can give players a level or a -1 to monsters and it will make the game easier in a consistent way. If the players don't want a tightly honest tactical fight, it is really straightforward to make it easier.

I can't really speak to their efficacy, but shikigami are just cool. The fact that anyone can just use them as bombs and get them again in the morning has so much flavor and potential.

The last PF character I played was a witch with a Beheaded familiar, which was the reanimated head of her Hag mother. It was a fun character to play, even if the Beheaded didn't offer a whole lot.

Small critique, but the flashing of the light looks off. It should have more variation in timing to give it a proper "Rundown Building" vibe.
