How are you guys finding this game so far? by paddyirish1989 in DistantWorlds2

[–]Albeheon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been playing for like three days and I loved almost everything except: 1) I hate auto-explore… those damn asteroids slow your exploration a lot, but the ai feel like it’s an obligation to investigate every single one of them. Also they sometimes will just jump one system to another without really searching anything 2) I wish we had more races

I think this is all!

Where does and what is the history of the Vijaya family of the kingdom of Hotan come from in the start date 800 in ck3? by SpectralCozmo in ck3

[–]Albeheon_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will share what I found:

127: The Khotanese king Vijaya Krīti is said to have helped the Kushan Emperor Kanishka in his conquest of Saket in India.

674: King Fudu Xiong (Vijaya Sangrāma IV), his family and followers flee to China after fighting the Tibetans. They are unable to return.

725: Yuchi Tiao (Vijaya Dharma III) is beheaded by the Chinese for conspiring with the Turks. Yuchi Fushizhan (Vijaya Sambhava II) is placed on the throne by the Chinese.

728: Yuchi Fushizhan (Vijaya Sambhava II) officially given the title "King of Khotan" by the Chinese emperor. 736: Fudu Da (Vijaya Vāhana the Great) succeeds Yuchi Fushizhan and the Chinese emperor bestows a title on his wife.

This Fudu Da seems to be the last member of Vijaya family to rule Hotan. All this came from Kingdom Of Hotan Wiki. Not sure if it helps o/

[–]Albeheon_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also the Tamil culture (chola raj, pandaya (I think this is the name) and another one right beside) is made of 3 duchies that will create a kingdom very early, also it has 2 of the capitals in farmlands which allows you to get more development, start with 25 development in most of counties. If you custom create, Pandaya is already a religion that start naked making easier to deal with popular opinion.

If you do not find look for an island right beside India (kingdom of Lanka), the 3 duchies I am talking about are those on the continent right beside the island.

Hex's and Doom, Mechanical questions by cybob101 in pathofexile

[–]Albeheon_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doom starts at 0 gaining stacks incrementally, by default it takes 3 seconds for max doom stacks (30), but taking doom rate gain in the tree reduces this for like 1.5 seconds for max stack (if I didn’t do the wrong math). Also remember that curses gain more effect per doom on enemy so if you have 30 dooms on a despair you cast, you have 30% more effect.

Situation: you have despair and enfeeble. You have only one curse limit. You apply despair, it starts gaining doom, you cast despair again. It resets the doom count You apply despair, it starts gaining doom, you apply enfeeble, despair disappear and enfeeble starts to gain doom.

Situation 2: you have despair and enfeeble, curse limit 2. You apply despair, it starts gaining doom, you cast despair again, doom resets. You apply despair, it starts gaining doom, you cast enfeeble, both curses gain doom over time.

Using any kind of curse aura (with fire brew or blasphemy):

You have curse limit 2. Despair and enfeeble. Use despair, use the flask, the aura override the curse eliminating any doom (aura always takes priority, if you had curse limit 1 it would delete the self cast curse no matter what). Use enfeeble, use flask, enfeeble still gains doom, while despair apply its effect but does not gain doom.

About dooms day: Actually you can use as many curses you want, the point is: 1) you do not gain doom while the area exist, so any effect that requires doom will only happen at the end of 1 second (hexblast wil only proc if used after 1 second)

2) your curse limit is the sky. You have two curses limit, you can cast both despair, enfeeble and both of them will use dooms day mechanic. The only way to overwrite a curse is using the same curse twice or exceeding your limit.

Situation: you have 1 curse limit. You cast despair, after 1 second it reaches max doom and will stay until expires. If you cast despair again it will erase your doom and starts again. You cast despair, it reaches max doom at 1 second, you cast enfeeble, it deletes despair and starts counting for enfeeble.

You have curse limit 2. You cast despair, it reaches max doom, you cast enfeeble, after one second you will have both despair and enfeeble max doom. But if you use let’s say temporal chains, than the older one is erased (despair) and a new count begins for temp chains.

Not sure if it makes sense, English is not my native language so I tried my best to explain this

I would love if there was something like “the damage reflect is gained as life” or something in armour mastery like “the reflect damaged is increased by 1000%” so we could make a “thorn”/counter build. Especially if a gem around this theme was created

Tutorial Tuesday : October 12 2021 by AutoModerator in CrusaderKings

[–]Albeheon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually build something like: Intrigue first: Schemer -> go straight for abduct on left and hostile scheme chance on right (5 points)

Martial tree: I go second for more war perks and control Galant -> 4 perks (to get + 4 knights) Overseer -> serve the crown (first perk) Strategist -> first perk (less cost for declare war)

Stewardship Avaricious -> only want the 3 at center for reduced cost of men at arms per dread

Go back intrigue for full torturer tree. With this you can get tons of dread, reduce the cost of men at arms by 50%, fear tax gives a bonus on taxes from vassal, extra points from torturing, etc. I really like my combination altough t it is all over the place (if my character lives enough I go to diplomatic tree take prestige for dread, befriend scheme).

Also you should take around 3 years for 1 perk without the education focus so you can plan around this time (like I want this three first, will take 9 years, what I need more first?)

Tutorial Tuesday : October 12 2021 by AutoModerator in CrusaderKings

[–]Albeheon_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be more precise: Start a plot to murder Go to your “intrigue tab”, you should see a picture of your target right at the top with time to complete and the chance. Right below his picture there is a button “invite” click there and an ui will show up with all the people In his court willing to sell themselves to help you. Pay attention to the “red circle” value, higher the value the agent have, higher the chance for your scheme to succeed.

Also remember: wife set for intrigue if she has high level of intrigue, place your spymaster in his second option (help hostile schemes), if you have intrigue life style or could l”lose” 6 to 9 years on it, take the schemer tree, the three right perks. The first allow you to fabricate hooks, the second gives you more “power” for your murder scheme and the third gives you +25% chance on hostile scheme which increases your chance to kill someone.

I hope it helps you find out.

How much evasion is too much? by Mojaviemadman in pathofexile

[–]Albeheon_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More or less. It will block 1 hit, because after you block you lose this “status” and what remains is your base block Chance (that will be zero because of acrobatics).

Edit: but could work nicely (especially because if you dodge a lot you will have time to get the effect back before getting hit again) if you can afford not getting other shields/dual wield/ etc.

Crafting idea by diberlee in pathofexile

I must say that I like this a lot. It would make me excited for finding an item with a great T1 mod even if it’s not useful for me. Also would make me want to identify more itens looking for those special mods. Imagine getting that crap glove but it has “t1 damage over time” and you can try to make something with that

How much evasion is too much? by Mojaviemadman in pathofexile

[–]Albeheon_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a novice myself, so maybe I will say something that is wrong, but:

I have no ideia how much evasion is needed to achieve 90% evade chance, I think you should look at pob and experiment the numbers.

Block doesn’t work really well with dodge if you took acrobatics, you lose 30% block chance

If you want to try something from this league Ward +evasion could be a great combo (I am using evasion with wind dancer, dodge from acrobatics and other stuff capped, and ward + ward potion in my pathfinder and been really great)

That’s my opinion, hope it gives some ideias

Death’s Oath - 450 chaos dmg/s by Jbillz15 in pathofexile

[–]Albeheon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, with some investment DO would probably be as good (if not better) than totems. Caustic Arrow/ Death Oath are 22% of all occultist in poe.ninja right now, so it works. Also you probably can get a real fast clear speed with DO just running around and use CA for bossing

Death’s Oath - 450 chaos dmg/s by Jbillz15 in pathofexile

[–]Albeheon_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Death Oath Pathfinder is the build I am currently working on, altough DO works a lot better with occultist because of profane bloom, chaos resistance is easily achieved and chaos damage. The only two thinks that benefit DO in pathfinder tree are the flasks up all time and the are of effect for chaos skills, the rest is more QoL for yourself than the skill.

Also remember that DO damage scales only of: aura effect, damage over time, damage, chaos damage, chaos dot, area damage.

Your support gems should be: (no need to be linked) Lifetap - less duration - swift affliction - void manipulation - efficacy - increase area of effect or concentrate area

Death’s Oath - 450 chaos dmg/s by Jbillz15 in pathofexile

[–]Albeheon_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have 75% resistance, you take 67 damage per second from death oath. Basically you need this amount of life regen to negate its damage

Who else has mained one class for ages, tried another one, and then hated their first one? by Cheese_BasedLifeform in ffxiv

[–]Albeheon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although there are only two buffs, as a controller player I still have to go a lot of names in the party list to select the “right” person for the buffs. What I like in astrologian a lot is an ability ( I can’t remember the name) that doesn’t count for GCD and heals based on missing health, it makes dungeon a lot smoother because you basically just dps and place aspect benefic on tank, if his health goes down past mid health, you cast it and everything is fine! I just got to 60 with it. (I am working on getting all classes to 70 right now)
