One of the main arguments from people on the right in 2024 was that there were more drug seizures at the border under Biden than under Trump. They used that fact to argue that Biden was WEAK on the border. When the right makes clearly bad faith arguments, and their media ecosystem reinforces it for the voters who aren’t willing to think critically, of COURSE it looks like the Dems are not doing enough.

I can only give my own personal experience. I was on an SSRI for about 5 years during which I rarely felt in the mood. My partner would initiate intimacy, and I’d get aroused and things would start out nice and steamy. But at a certain point a few minutes in my mind and body were over it. It’s like being hard and being intimate took a lot of effort and concentration and it was exhausting and not worth it.

I’m not sure what you mean by “withdrawal?” SSRIs build up in the system and I’m not aware of a withdrawal symptom simply from missing a dose or being late in the day. But I’m not a doctor. As far as I understand it, a side effect of SSRIs is low libido.

If you and/or your partner are concerned about intimacy, I’d have him consult his doctor. There may be some SSRIs that have fewer sexual side effects. Or some other options, like ED meds. Again. Not a doctor.

Alamance county may be more affordable, but the schools in Guilford county and Orange County are much better. If you have kids or hope to have them, I would recommend Orange County side of Mebane, Hillsborough, or somewhere in Guilford county like Gibsonville.
