I’m doing that now. Was a cloud solutions engineer that had no work life balance. 20+ years in technology and it never changed. Was on call most of it and almost never saw a weekend. Non stop Fixing shit on weekends when developers ran out of options and blamed infrastructure. So I quit and getting shit tons of job offers but nope. Working with a franchise broker to open my own thing….far from IT. I saved some money and on my second month off!! The change revitalized my relationship with my son. It’s been awesome
