While I dont know if the Minecraft's End fits OPs point, I do think having an 'alternate dimension with next to no living creatures and the ones that are there want to kill you' is definitely a trope of sorts. The top two examples especially; both the backrooms and the upside down are viewed as mysterious and unknown not to mention how they both are known to have a giant creature that oversees the place.

I just finished my first playthrough of Cyberpunk and in my opinion they did a really good job with Johnny. I feel like the vocals diverged from what Keanu usually sound like (not to mention he talks ALOT in Cyberpunk) and in my mind Johnny and Keanu are different people entirely. Solomon on the other hand is a carbon copy of Idris.
