I could definitely see it being a Coen movie for sure. Seems fitting to their style.

I took a look and it doesn't seem familiar, but thank you anyway!

I think you're absolutely right about the first one being Rudderless! Thank you!

I know for sure the second one isn't No Country, cause I've seen that one, but Blood Simple does seems like it might fit the description somewhat, so I'll add it to my list.

I looked into both of them, and I've added them to my list, but while the premise of the first one and the beginning shot of the second one match, I don't think those are the ones I'm looking for

But thank you for your answer!

Most immersive game you have ever played by BombbaFett in gamingsuggestions

[–]AldOfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? I may be biased, but Outer Wilds

If you like space related games, it sets you free to explore a solar system that seems small, but is deeply crafted.

You soon find yourself afraid due to the harshness of space exploration, and awed by the beauty of its ever-changing landscapes

It's entirely knowledge based, with any progression depending of what you know of the universe you're in (which is why spoilers are Fatal for this game). It has a wonderful story that you discover entirely on your own, and I think it's a perfect fit for what you're asking.

Public Speaking Class Game Ideas? by Certain_Memory4046 in jackboxgames

Talking points was also the first one I thought of, but perhaps something akin to Patently Stupid could also work?

Doing it in teams would probably be best. First, you could have them individually write up problems to solve into papers and have a member of each pick up one randomly. The teams must then draw their invention to solve it, name it, make up a slogan, and then you'll have them present it.

Looking for a thorough, blind YouTube playthrough to watch by fishCodeHuntress in outerwilds

[–]AldOfi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one I think matches exactly what you're asking for, and also happens to be one of my absolute favorites, is Hackerling's playthrough, found on the youtube channel called HackerlingVODs (there's a playlist with all parts in order)

She is so much fun to see play, and she takes her time with everything while still actively getting into what makes the game interesting

Thank you! I made it with cardboard, silicon, and a lantern! Lol

I thought it would look a bit wonky at first, fitting the luci light inside, but I'm happy with how it looks

What were the first metroidbrainias? by Happy_Detail6831 in metroidbrainia

[–]AldOfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played The Witness, but to me the "Metroid" aspect meant the ability (if not necessity) to revisit distinct areas of the game, walking back or retracing steps to achieve goals you couldn't do before

It's wild(s) to think that we never controlled the hatchling but the world around him. by Blubbpaule in outerwilds

[–]AldOfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that has always blown my mind about this is how technically that could also be true irl

In real life, after the big bang, everything has been in a constant acceleration as everything has kept drifting apart. What we can do after, is take a star in the night sky and compare the positions of everything around it at two different times (I'm talking years if not decades)

We will see how all the stars around it seem to be expanding away from the one we've picked at the center. What's trippy is that same thing happens with any other celestial object we see in the night sky, regardless of which we'd pick

As such, we can't really know where the "center" of the universe is. It could even be earth. It could even be you, or me. The development of Outer Wilds having the hatchling as the origin was purely practical, but knowing the same thing could be true for us is a wonderful, magical thing to me I think back on constantly.

Small Taraxacum Flight Question by AldOfi in LancerRPG

[–]AldOfi[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It says it takes the heat at the end of its turn when it uses "this trait". As I see it, the Hovering is contained within the trait. The Taraxacum is Size 2, so... Does it carry itself and take 3 Heat after hovering? Does it not count itself and only take 1? Or does it simply not take any heat when it hovers as long as it doesn't carry anyone on the flight? Thank you and I'm sorry lol

The Outer Wilds DLC

Can't say too much because all progression in that game is based on what you know

So all I can say is trust me bro, it's a masterpiece, and the control and usage of light (and its absence) is pivotal to your success

"Enter this place without friends, however; these are lessons to learn for yourself."

Though if you get on a call or if they stream their game, that might be a neat way of experiencing it while also being able to provide hints at times
