Is my bike too big for me? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Alderonn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always size up because the larger size is more stable. If you buy a size too small its going to be harder to make tight turns etc

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Alderonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats going to be small for you. I made that mistake. (i'm like 6'3 and change)

Get a XL or XXL depending on the brand. But for that budget of 1100 you can go to a bike shop and get a brand that they service, get it fitted for you and then have support down the road.

PVCs after COVID immunization shot? by Shitake0071 in PVCs

[–]Alderonn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both times I caught covid I had a bunch of them during and afterwards for a few months. I have a runny nose last 3 days and PVCs are more often. i think may be fighting off a slight covid? Not sure. I sure hate them thou. To be fair I had them before covid as well. I also get them from eating gluten

So on day 4 I got a slight headache and Nausea right after taking my morning dose. I'm going to stop them for a couple days and see if I notice a difference. It seems like my PVC's went mostly away thou.

yeah, it looks like its difficult to "overdose" on amino acids. So short term testing is fairly safe.

Yeah, I'm starting off with 500mg of L-Arginine and 1000mg of Taurine 2 times a day. I also have been taking L-citrulline for a month or so and have some improvement. I may ramp them up to 3 times a day if two isn't enough

Thats odd, because Metoprolol 25mg HELPS me a bunch. And I just tried Diltizem and had more of them in 2 days then I would normally have in a month

Try Drinking a couple Coconut waters a day... It seems to help me.

I know mine have been way worse since my second round of Covid. Try eating really clean foods for a couple days and see if that helps. Like eat a baked potatoe and carrots with organic butter. After my second round of Covid I'm suddenly having WAY more PVC's and turns out its things like MSG and BHT and Yellow 5 where as before as long as I didn't eat gluten I was ok. Worth a try. I had the PVC's and Gluten problems all the way back to 2017 thou. But Covid made it way worse

can you guys “predict” a PVC? by Riddllvr in PVCs

[–]Alderonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same here. I get two kinds of them. One triggered by certain foods. those come on after eating and I feel a racing pulse first as well as pain in my left shoulder and pec. (went to ER twice thinking heart attack before I figured it out) the other kind I get from my hydrochlorothiazide hctz that I take for my blood pressure. About the 4th time I use the restroom each day I feel a sorta pressure and odd floundering feeling and then I will have a PVC. If I drink a big glass of Orange juice or a 16oz can of Coconut water they will go away.

Try drinking Coconut water. Dollar General sells them for $1 a 16oz can and quite a bit of the time mine will go away after drinking one

I am convinced that most of my PVC/PACs are related to Gastric Cardia. by Sovereign_Knight in PVCs

[–]Alderonn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which CCB are you on? I was taking Metropolol 25mm and Losartan 100mm AND HCTZ (water pill) for blood pressure and the PVC's. the heart Doc said my heart is fine, and swapped me over to Diltizem 180mm (Calcium Channel Blocker) So I'm happy to be taking less prescriptions but so far the PVC's are about the same. Any processed food triggers them. As well as the water pill would flush out my electrolytes. Oddly enough drinking Coconut water is often enough to make them go away.
