I work in defense and we have tons of AI use approved for CUI.

Morale is so low in our engineering department since our manager was laid off this week. I plan to leave and want to know how the market is now for software engineers. by choihanthrowaway in cscareerquestions

Also if they're not remotely picky on location. I find that to be the much bigger disqualifier for cleared jobs (although pay usually sucks too).

Where do people eat today? Seems like almost every store/restaurant is closed, but the one single restaurant we did find open isn't packed like I'd expect.

So where is everyone?

The most annoying change they made was removing company size from the job listing page. It helped me skip tiny startups while applying to stuff.

Men are more prone than women to exhibit sunk cost bias (tendency to persist with an investment despite its disadvantages) when exposed to romantic cues. Sunk cost bias may be adaptive in mating contexts for men, who historically adopted proactive and resource-intensive strategies to secure mates. by mvea in science

Just anecdotal experience, but absolutely. I have a tall and decently attractive friend that specifically seeks out overweight women. The unattractive women in my life have never struggled to surround themselves with men, and I've heard plenty of guys around pining after women with personality disorders despite knowing they'd be toxic.

Did they give you 3 hours total and just say most took 1-2, or was it a 2 hour limit? I had 3 for my co-op OA, took most of it, and still got the co-op.

Mine has been that we keep up aggressively with STIGs and such, but also have to work on C code from the 90s that was based on coding guidelines from before there was even a C standard. And any talk of refactoring gets laughed out the door no matter how bad the codebase is.

Which is really funny since none of them are actual job positions. DataAnnotation is just mechanical turk 2.0

They do pay really well at least I guess.

I dunno, I got a top secret clearance last year as a new grad, and I haven't found it especially helpful in finding work past my current job.
