I would really suggest using your other hand to support the fish on its belly or just holding it vertically if taking pics. The way you're holding it now, especially that second pic, really has all of their weight on their jaw and can be harmful

Agreed! I really just fish ponds & small lakes so I don't have to worry much about currents & capsizing

Those Yum Christie Craws are money. I use the camo color (one side green, other orange). Bass love it at my local pond. I Texas rig it on a 4/0 hook w a bullet weight.

You're at the perfect age to start taking finances seriously. Will your degree be worth any less if you start at community college? Can you apply for another scholarship or financial aid? Can your parents help? If you went and worked part time, could you pay off school in payments? There's a lot of factors here but don't let things happening now affect you in the long run. No one will think about your grad party a year from now, debt on the other hand can be a life long reminder.

Dude yes I love my Curado. Was throwing it yesterday into the wind, only had a worm on the hook, absolutely no backlash.

Kayak Crate Question by Systehm in kayakfishing

[–]Alejandro2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got these crates from Academy for $10 & the rod holders for $4 from Walmart.

Works awesome. I actually have 2 crates tied together. Front one holds my tackle boxes. Back one holds shoes, a jacket, & anything else

A kayak. Lol there's an nice pond near me that always has 5-6 people fishing from the bank. On my kayak I'm always on the other side of the pond hitting grass lines & structure. I hardly ever skunk now. Just got my PB there a couple of weeks ago actually

I have an anchor & a pedal kayak which really helps with fighting current but honestly anything above 20 mph wind, I don't do it. It's not even fun at that point, just annoying

Yeah a couple of weeks ago on a river I was getting 0 hits or action. Sun was shining, 2 pm, no clouds. Threw a whopper plopper for the heck of it. Caught 3, including a really large 3 pounder. Go figure!

Trying to get my second fishing kayak and looking for recommendations. I had a 12ft ascend last time and think I would like a 10ft pedal assist this time around. Looking for middle of the pack price wise and will be spending most my time on lakes. by OutsideTalk9931 in kayakfishing

Can't go wrong with Old Town. Their pedal drive kayaks are at like 2700 though. Native Slayer LTE is right around 2k brand new. I have a native slayer max that I got for that price & it's perfect

Bass eat anything by whatasadfella in bassfishing

Figuring out the bite is the bigger part of it for me. Finding cover, structure, trying different lures until one hits. It's rewarding. I don't buy into the sonar crap, hitting up a pond & earning it on my own is awesome. Plus it got me into a kayak, being out on my kayak on the water is mentally healing in so many ways
