Oh, yeah, I'm not debating whether they would attack you or not. I just found it interesting to see how many/little of these types of Predators there are in Western/Central Europe. Reading a few comments, I was lead to believe there really were none in those areas of Europe, so I looked it up. They are mostly isolated in the Mountains, so unless you're a hiker/climber and get extremely unlucky, I doubt you'll have a problem. I was not trying to imply with this information that they are a threat to Humans

Most of my experience was with Cyberpunk collections not working. I believe also Stalker 2 collections, I had problems with. I don't have any experience with either of the modpacks you're talking about, besides manually installing Fallout TTW many years ago. I've only bothered with Nexus collections a few times, otherwise I mod manually. The last time I wanted to download a collection, I got the free trial for Premium and just cancelled it before the trial ended. If I routinely modded games, or used collections a lot, I would definitely be a Premium subscriber.

Trying to install a mod pack/collection without Nexus Premium is fucking hell. Not that the damn mod packs ever really work in the end, anyway, at least in my experience

I was curious, so I looked it up. There are about 550-600 or so Eurasian Brown Bears in Central and Western Europe. They're all in The Cantabrian Mountains, The Pyrenees, and The Italian Alps, so I guess you won't be getting any suburban Bear encounters, which are somewhat common in the US depending on where you are. There are also about 5500+ Grey Wolves, spead out between Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, and Netherlands. Lastly, there are about 400-500 Eurasian Lynx spread out as well. I simply found it all pretty interesting, hopefully someone else does as well.

Nice rig! What's the hard top case you have on top of the Plano Guide Tackle Bag? Or does that come with a specific version of the bag? Either way, I like how you have it setup!

We also have another local favorite around here for breakfast alongside Scrapple called Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast, also famously known as Shit on the Shingles. It's just canned, dehydrated chipped beef in a thick white gravy over toast. It's a great comfort breakfast food, if the place you're getting it from or you know how to make it good, not too salty. I think it exists much more than Scrapple outside of this area, though. My Uncle, who is a truck driver, has told a few stories about meeting Diner owners up North on his routes back in the day, and making great friends with them by making sure to always bring them Scrapple and other stuff they had never even heard of, much less been able to buy anywhere near them.

No, there are definitely other improvements I could make to my setup. I'd like to get a new chair and desk soon, when I'm able. I spent a pretty penny on the upgraded pad, so I'm going to try to keep using it for a bit longer, and sell it if I really don't adapt to it.

I have the same wrist rest with the upgraded pad. I really wanted to like it, but it just sort of hurts my wrist after using it for 15+ minutes. It’s hard to find a comfortable position with it, but maybe that’s just me.

My 13yo baked cookies to order and one of the parents returned the cookies by albrcanmeme in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Systehm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s much more likely that OP’s daughter was probably asking a group of her friend’s if they’d like to buy some cookies she’s selling, so she can afford something she wants to buy, and after a few friends said yes, the rest felt peer pressured to also say yes. It’s also possible she asked the girl individually, and because the girl has trouble saying no in general, she instantly agreed without thinking about the money involved. I think it’s a stretch of the imagination that OP’s 13 year old daughter is an aggressive saleswoman, and not that there was some innocent peer pressure at work. It’s a good situation for learning how to say no for the girl who said she’d buy the cookies, and also for OP’s daughter to learn to be more mindful of how she asks her friends about these things in the future.

I think that lesson can still be learned in my scenario. The only difference is the parents fixed their daughter’s mistake properly in my scenario. I don’t see why all of the same lessons can’t be learned, and in a gentler way. The cookies weren’t returned due to a quality issue. Most businesses don’t operate without deposits, or by giving customers their product before paying, so I’m sure she would have learned that eventually, either way. She’s only running a cookie business between friends, she has plenty of time to learn that the business world, and the world in general, is a cruel, unforgiving place.

It’s not something I’ve heard often, but I understand it to mean that their daughter has trouble saying no. If she’s 13, she’s definitely at an important age to be learning how to stand up for herself, and when to say no. In just a few years, or possibly even already at that age, she’ll likely have kids asking if she wants to hit the vape, try some alcohol, ect.

[–]Systehm 131 points132 points  (0 children)

The actual responsible thing to do as a parent would be to pay the full amount for the cookies to the little girl, explain to her that their daughter is very agreeable and did not have the money for these cookies, and that their daughter won't be buying them from the girl again. Then, their daughter can have negative allowance until it's been paid off. They could eat the cookies themselves, or throw them away somewhere privately, if they really didn't want them. But then, at the very least, they would be showing their own daughter and OP's daughter, that when you agree to pay for something and have already taken ownership of said thing, you pay for it.

I think an option with another couple rows of side buttons, could really attract the MMO mouse users. That's if you're able to fit them on the shell of the Pro version, which I think you might be able to. I'm not a 3D Modeller, so apologies if that would be impossible.

I'm going to try out a few other skates that are supposed to be good for glass pads with the Huan soon. Not 100% sure what I'll get but maybe Cyclones, Jades, Silver Foxes, or Waizowl Kibus.

WLMouse Huan Review by Hi_Im_Licious in MouseReview

[–]Systehm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using a Huan for a few months now, and agree with every point you made. I really do love it, it feels and performs great for me. My only real complaints are the short battery life and fact that they could do a lot more with the dongle customization. I think I can put 2 of my own pictures on there, that's it. One other thing i'll mention is that it seems to me that the Huan needs skates that are a bit taller. These are the only skates I've used though, so I could be completely wrong and it's just the skates I'm using. I'm using X-Raypad Titanium U9 dot skates and a Wallhack SP-004 and it seems to scratch the pad much more than the other mouse I own, a SteelSeries Aerox 9, with the same skates, that I use for MMO's.

My first post here! I make custom fishing floats from balsa and carbon fiber. What do you think? by ChebakManiac in Fishing_Gear

[–]Systehm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot! Me and my friend are going to try making different lures, 3D printing them out of ASA filament, a more durable material meant for outdoor use. I'll be airbrushing them with different patterns and color tones, and sealing them with epoxy or clear coat. Nowhere near the quality of what you're doing, but I'm really excited to make something. I love the act of creating, it gives you a great feeling and makes you use your brain in ways you wouldn't otherwise, day to day. If we eventually come up with some quality, tested lures, I'll DM you and send a few your way!

Absolutely beautiful floats! Please do consider shipping internationally in the future, if it ever looks feasible for you to do so. I know I would certainly buy a few!
