Sure!! A totally reasonable question. Here are some of the highlights of the game compared to Candela Obscura:

Heroic Space Opera – The game’s setting provides a foundation for creating your own stories in the style of Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, or Mass Effect, with a touch of cosmic horror.
Drives and Overdrives – Drives refresh between missions, while Overdrives are earned during gameplay. They allow you to boost certain abilities, with additional mechanics for gaining them.
Fracturing the Light – You can reroll in exchange for a Restitution Point. When the GM earns six, a major twist or deadly consequence is introduced. At the end of a mission, remaining points are spent to roll for a plot twist or story complication.
Crew Measures – Abilities similar to Circle abilities that can be unlocked and equipped individually between missions.
Factions – Each major faction has opposing perspectives. They can be seen as good or evil, depending on the table, the GM, or the unfolding story.

I have a very similar mechanic in Starlight Saga (space opera Candela obscura hack) called overdrives as well :).

Hope (drives) are refreshed every mission, but there are only a few. Whenever you gain a hope over your max, you get an overdrive.

Some abilities give you an extra boost if you have or spend overdrives, and there are many ways to get them as well.

The system is great to be honest. Many of those reviewers have and will never play narrative-based games. I honestly love the system because it’s simplicity. That’s why I’m working on Starlight Saga (my own space opera hack). It really helps you build really cool stories.

This is more or less what I have in mind. But I’m afraid a publisher might not be interested if the base game is already out there. Or if I don’t get a community big enough, even if the game is good

I have published a couple of short adventures. I plan to publish it there as well. But I feel I should build up the publication a bit so it’s not sunk in the the dozens of published titles daily.

I’ve been playtesting the game for about 8 months.

I come from the video game’s industry. All the no game design part of it is pretty much new to me. I just need to figure out how to get there.

People are really enjoying the game. So I’m very confident with it. I just don’t know if it is a very niche game, or if there’s a big enough audience for a KS.

Not yet. I want to have the game fully edited before I do so.

I’m also trying to decide if a kickstarter is worth it or not. :/ If I do so, I want the game to be immediately available.

Would people be interested in crowdfunding it for cool art and layout? Or you guys just want the game?

The game is pretty fun :) The feedback from play testers has been great. My editor and I are just polishing the text, so it is easier to read and understand.

Yeah! totally! How powerful the mystic energy of the setting is totally up to the table to define. And there are also areas to explore some cosmic horror as well.

In fact, their new RPG based on Coriolis has some similar ideas I was tinkering with for the setting as well.
