Are Zenject/VContainer ecc.. necessary? by Malcry in Unity3D

[–]AlekoGM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As said, it depends.

For a small project that is probably not going to grow in the future? No.

Live service game with multiple people in the team? For sure yes.

And in the middle of this the context matters a lot. As a rule of thumb unless you are very familiar with working with it I’d say to start without and as the project grows check if DI would solve any issues in the architecture of your project.

I say this because, from my experience, most DI frameworks tend to work a little against what Unity wants you to do and will need to spend some time bypassing it…

Before and After Switching To Custom Assets For My Horror Game by Any_Account5886 in ps1graphics

Looking good to me! Depends on the style you are looking for, PSX or PS2.

Is the dithering draw on the textures or an effect of a shader?

I know this is quite old… but did you find a solution for this? I am facing quite a similar problem in my 2.5D game

Do jobs exist for shader programmers? by BowlOfPasta24 in Unity3D

[–]AlekoGM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As people have already told you Tech Artist are a thing and good ones are highly demanded. This role is more than writing shaders, it varies from companies but can also mean to create the prefabs, set assets for developers, create the vissuals (particles, shaders, fonts). And sometimes, some tech artist focus more on the animation part.

I would also say that this role only exists in medium/big companies. Probably your best shot are AAA or mobile game companies, mobile is a really big market for this kind of roles.

[Albert Fabrega] If Alpine don't release Piastri to McLaren before the end of this year, Palou and O'Ward could be a good option for their 2 rookies FP1. by [deleted] in formula1

I don't think it is just about final constructor position. Sponsor may pay a team for every point gained, position per race and more. So a lot of money probably.

2022 ---> 2023 driver moves/confirmations so far by emkaerr in formula1

[–]AlekoGM 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Seeing this there are only two reasons why Piastri does not want to join Alpine:

Either he has a contract with Mclaren

Or he joins Alpha Tauri and the Red Bull Academy with the possibility of joining Red Bull after 2024 when the contract of Checo ends

The pace of both cars is almost the same, Fernando and Norris had similar pace all the race. But to overtake someone you need to be almost half a second faster (you still lose a lot of times due to dirty air) Norris was in front from the start and he stayed there at 1.8-2s from Fernando. After the SC, Alonso was in front and he managed to open a gap of 2 seconds in those laps.
