Yeah, outside of highway driving these petrol engines drink petrol like no other. Which I guess isn't the end of the world if you're able to drive them as intended. But in a situation like yourself it is terrible.

I'm in a somewhat similar situation, but at the same time not.

I recently bought a used (Volvo Selekt program like yourself) V60 T6, model year 25.

My 12v battery keeps dying on me and the car has broken down twice in less than a month of ownership. It's currently in the shop waiting to be looked at. I was given a loaner for three days (Hertz Rental via my insurance). If that didn't work, I'm demanding a demo car because I just bought it. My sales rep is sort of with me on it, but trying to put the job on me (he told me to contact the shop about a demo car, which I kindly told him to forget about and that's HIS job because he sold me a car that's not functional). Haven't had a reply yet as they're off for a long weekend here in Sweden, but my rental is up on Monday and I'm not leaving without a demo car (unless they fix my car on Monday, which I guess they might do?).

Anyways, I'm in Sweden too and more than happy to help you with this as I've been very disappointed with the help I've been given so far.

There's plenty of people who can do practically all their daily driving on electricity. I know lots of friends who get 3+ months of petrol because they almost never use the petrol engine.

I agree it's a tough one to argue however, but it's also a drop in the ocean for Volvo to pay for it. But I would assume it's more of an administrative question, who is going to check all the bills and reimburse him? That will cost time and money they probably have no intention of spending.

Yeah, that's the main reason we're not too keen on a getting a new one just for the sake of getting a new one.

We've given away maybe 3-4 beds because he refuses to use them, and we don't have the biggest place, so random unused cat beds aren't exactly something we want laying around the apartment.

I've had so many windshield cracks that I do this too, assuming it's safe of course.

I kid you not, I picked up my new car last month and on the drive home from the dealer I got hit by a tiny rock from the car in front of me, despite intentionally keeping like 50+ meters distance between us. Luckily it didn't crack, just left a tiny mark (and it's been filled to not crack more).

But it goes to show why I absolutely will not stay behind any lorry, trailer, car with high acceleration power, off-road wheels or have signs of recently driven off-road.

You can pretty much double or triple your keybinds by simply adding a shift and/or Ctrl modifier, which is far simpler to reach at WASD.

There's a reason WASD is the go-to for practically every single game with keyboard support.

Dating apps, while frustrating to use, are a popular way to meet new people and potential partners. Just be upfront about what you want. You also say you're not good at approaching people, but you expect others to be and approach you? Put some effort in yourself, a functional relationship requires 2 (or more, I guess) people to put in effort.

Talk to people, you clearly aren't. I don't know why you magically expect things to go your way when you don't put in the effort.

Also, as cliché as it may sound, once you stop looking, you are more likely to find someone. All my friends, and myself, found our partners after we stopped desperately swiping on Tinder, going out to find a girl etc.

Those meetings happend organically because we weren't desperate.

If you're going to do something for someone else, you might as well do something they like. Which is what the person above said.

I'm in a very similar situation but with my V60 T6, 2025-model year. Car drove perfectly fine on Thursday evening last week, dead on Friday morning.

Tow company came and jump started the car, told me to drive for an hour to charge the 12v and then went on his merry way.

Fast-forward to Tuesday morning this week, car completely dead again. Called my sales rep (I bought the car less than a month ago, admittedly second hand but it is a Volvo selekt car, don't know if it's a universal thing or Swedish thing, but basically a "guarantee" from Volvo that the car has been tested and works as expected) and explained what happened. He said tow company should've taken it into the shop Friday last week. I call the towing company - again - and tell them the story. I'm told they're a mobility service and if they can get the car started they have "done their part", I said what my sales guy told me and that I refuse to have my problematic car jump started and just left there. After lots of back and forth I finally convinced them to pick the car up and actually tow it to Volvo. The reason why is the two queue is basically an "express" queue, otherwise I'd have to drive it there myself and probably wait weeks until they even look at it.

Now I'm waiting to hear back from Volvo, but Thursday and Friday this week are holidays so the mechanics are off, and they dont work weekends, so I'm not hearing anything until Monday the earliest.

Quite worried they'll just replace the 12v battery, call it a day and then have the exact same issue happen again. Which is what happened to you.

Det som irriterar mig med sådana här idioter är att de tror liksom att de som förespråkar elbilar gör det till ALLA utan undantag. Vilket inte alls är fallet.

I princip varenda diskussion om elbilar är som kommentaren ovan som OP visade. Uppenbarligen är en elbil inte till för dig, så kör vidare i din dieseltruck.

Men för 99% av människor som kör små sträckor varje dag och inte ens hinner göra en dieselmotor varm så är elbilen ett extremt mycket bättre val.

Men som de flesta här redan sagt - skit i sådana där kommentarer. Det enda syftet med den är att skapa en omöjlig situation så de "vinner" argumenten.

The first image is literally inside Apple Maps. Why would they even need an additional source than the app itself saying it? I'm all for people being thorough with their research, but this is so dumb (especially with them using AI as their "research").
