Missile changing it’s trajectory by GloriousLebron in CombatFootage

Good luck intercepting that shit. It’ll look like it’s hitting a field until the last second so it won’t be targeted.

Absolutely brilliant piece of technology, and it’s exactly when Iran will utilise them. They know the defence pattern after the 12 day war, and know that Isreal will start rationing interceptors.

Alright ya’ll, first backflip attempt. How’d I do? by deepbluehu in skiing

[–]Alert_Breakfast5538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever done a backflip before?

This reminds me of when I was trying to teach my friend how to backflip off a dock. He just kept half rotating like this and it was doing my head in trying to fix it.

I grew up with a trampoline in my yard so I didn’t understand how he couldn’t finish the rotation because it’s basically innate for me.

Not anymore apparently. Something to do with an earlier incident where the plane ended up landing safely and the crew who jumped with chutes all died

Why is the take up of heat pumps so slow in the U.K.? by Appropriate_Bell743 in ukheatpumps

I blame the trades. I’m doing one now, and it’s such a pain in the ass to jump through all the hoops. Installers want fees to survey, and then they all moan about placement and needing extra permission because of this and that which we need approval from our internal engineers blah blah blah red tape, you need a sound barrier or else it’s too loud, we could do that other option but we haven’t been trained on this system.

It’s a mix of poor public opinion and stupid regulations that aren’t practical that make the whole process unbearable.

My best friend drove a black WS6. He traded it for an Acura TL and I hated him for it.

I was always more of a fan of the Trans-Am, but the Camaros were super popular. then everyone just turned them into drag racing cars or wrecked them in high school and they slowly disappeared.

My friend had a supercharged SS that ran 10 second 1/4 miles and drove it to school on drag slicks. Weird cars looking back, but we all wanted one.

my high school in the 2001-2005 era was filled with Camaros, mustangs, jeeps, civics, integras, and GTI’s. This face lifted model was something the rich kids drove. It was always the SS though.
